Victim Services of Peel (VSOP) mission is to provide comprehensive, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, 24/7 support to individuals and communities in the Region of Peel, helping them recover from the impact of crime or sudden tragedies. VSOP works in close partnership with Peel Regional Police and community partners to fulfill its mission and mandate.&nbsp;Position SummaryCrisis Intervention Counsellors provide immediate crisis counselling (in person and over the phone), emotional and practical supports to victims of crime and tragic circumstances in Peel Region. This includes but not limited to homicide, assault, human trafficking, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, gun violence, robbery and sudden tragedy such as suicide, motor vehicle or workplace accidents/fatalities, and sudden death.&nbsp;RESPONSIBILITIES:Client Services<ul><li>Respond immediately to requests for services from the Peel Regional Police and community agencies to provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and practical assistance to victim of crime and sudden tragic events by attending the scene.</li><li>Conduct needs assessments, facilitate linkages to the Safe Centre of Peel, nCourage Hub or internal VSOP Case Management Programs such as the South Asian Family Enrichment Program, VQRP+ High Risk Services, Sexual Assault Centre/AHT Programs, CARE, Transitional Housing Support Program or other external community services, dependent on the client’s needs and consent.</li><li>Assess safety concerns and critical care needs, develop/update individualized safety plans.</li><li>Advocate and liaise with other community agencies to provide wraparound support.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend bail court (when in-person service resumes) or virtually to as required to advocate for victims and document the outcome of bail hearings.</li><li>Work from a client centered approach, trauma informed, harm reduction, and anti – oppressive frameworks.</li><li>Maintain confidential client files, accurately documenting intervention/case notes in database.</li><li>Complete all required agency reporting including quantitative and qualitative data.</li><li>Support volunteers and placement students through coaching and mentoring.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Education and Training Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the training of staff and volunteers by actively participating in the onboarding and job training process; Job Summary 

As part of a dynamic provincial organization, the Service Navigation Coordinator provides 

coordination of services, active support, resources, and education. The position focuses on 

client centred goals and solutions to navigate system barriers that prevent persons with 

spinal cord injuries living the life they choose. 

This Service Navigation Coordinator position requires an innovative and resourceful 

individual to assist with serving clients in the Dufferin-Peel area. This part-time position is 

based out of a home office, working 3 days/week (.6FTE) 


Reporting to the Manager, Service Navigation &amp; Intake, you will: 

 • Work with individuals with a spinal cord injury and their families in acute care, 

rehabilitation and in the community 

 • Act as a resource, navigator, advisor and facilitator, supporting and advocating for 

clients, their family and the community 

 • Work with clients on goal setting and attainment in the areas of equipment, housing, 

transportation, health and wellness, recreation, personal support services, and 

funding. 

 • Provide information and education on a wide variety of topics related to spinal cord 

injury 


Qualifications: 

 • University Degree in rehabilitation services, social work, social sciences or equivalent 

education and experience 

 • Minimum three years’ experience in a rehabilitation setting within community 

services as well as other social and health related disciplines or similar related 

experience

Job Summary: 

Founded in 1960, the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) is one of the largest and most 

comprehensive non-profit agencies in Ottawa and a registered charity. It provides mental health 

services, employment programs, emergency shelter, community, health and housing services, and justice 

programs to youth in the Ottawa area, serving between 2,500 and 3,000 at-risk individuals aged 12+ and

the Coordinator is responsible for the overall functioning and operation of the Downtown Services and 

Drop-In programs in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Youth Services 

Bureau. 


Principal Duties: 


Staff &amp; Program Related: 

 • Support the effective recruitment, supervision, evaluation and training of unit staff and student 

placements as assigned 

 • Oversee and ensure the smooth day to day operations of the unit including the delegation of and 

coordination of essential daily activities 

 • Ensure timely preparation of staff schedules 

 • Facilitate unit staff meetings to assess program and client needs and outcomes 

 • Support Youth Engagement staff to effectively work with youth teams to achieve work plan 

outcomes 

 • Help to continue the development of effective peer supporter/adult staff working relationships, 

processes and procedures 

 • Continue to develop by-youth-for-youth programming at the drop-in 

 • Assist with the continued integration of on-site service partners (Health clinic staff; school staff; 

Wabano case management) with drop-in services

 • Superviser et assurer le bon fonctionnement quotidien de l’unité, y compris la délégation et la 

coordination des activités quotidiennes essentielles. 

 • Assurer la préparation ponctuelle des horaires du personnel.

 • Soutenir le personnel de mobilisation des jeunes pour qu’il travaille efficacement avec les 

équipes de jeunes afin d’atteindre les objectifs du plan de travail. 

 • Contribuer au développement continu de relations de travail, de processus et de procédures 

efficaces entre pairs aidants et personnel adulte. 

 • Poursuivre le développement de programmes par les jeunes et pour les jeunes au sein du centre 

d’accueil. 

 • Contribuer à l’intégration continue des partenaires de services sur place (personnel de la 

clinique, personnel scolaire, gestion de cas Wabano) aux services du centre d’accueil. 

 • Attribuer les tâches au personnel, selon les besoins. 

 • Assurer la liaison avec les autres services du Bureau des services à la jeunesse et de la 

communauté, et participer aux réunions, au besoin. 

 • Contribuer à l’évaluation et au développement des services, notamment en identifiant les 

tendances dans le domaine. 

 • Contribuer aux activités et aux rapports d’assurance de la qualité, et participer aux activités de 

recherche, au besoin. 

 • Collaborer avec le directeur du programme et les bailleurs de fonds sur les activités liées au 

programme. 

 • Des services sur appel réguliers ou périodiques sont requis. 

 • Veiller au respect des politiques et procédures de l’agence, des politiques du programme, de la 

convention collective et de la législation en vigueur. 

 • Veiller au respect des pratiques de travail sécuritaires et à leur mise en place par le Bureau des 

services à la jeunesse et le programme. 

 • Coordonner toutes les activités de projet assignées. 

Clinique/Client 

 • Superviser et participer à la planification des admissions et des sorties, selon les besoins. 

 • Superviser les évaluations des risques imminents et s’assurer que des plans de sécurité et de

 • Fournir des services directs aux clients, selon les besoins. 

 • Superviser la planification des célébrations et des événements spéciaux définis par le 

programme. 

 • Superviser l’accès et l’orientation vers les services appropriés au sein du Bureau des services à la 

jeunesse et de la communauté. 

 Services centraux/Administration : 

 • S’assurer que toutes les tâches administratives sont effectuées dans les délais et conformément 

aux politiques de l’unité et du Bureau des services à la jeunesse, y compris la préparation des 

horaires, les résumés des quarts de travail, les rapports d’anomalies, la soumission des paies, 

l’approbation des demandes de congés et la saisie des données. 

 • Préparer les rapports statistiques ou autres rapports requis par le directeur ou les bailleurs de 

fonds du programme. 

 • S’assurer que les fichiers électroniques sont tenus à jour et conformes aux directives établies. 

 • Soutenir la gestion du budget et être responsable des dépenses. 

 • Préparer les demandes de licences et d’agrément, le cas échéant. 

 • Tenir à jour l’inventaire de fournitures.

PARC is seeking a motivated and committed Development and Communications Coordinator to lead the implementation of our fund development and communications strategies. Reporting to the Director of Development &amp; Communications, this role is a one (1) year contract that will oversee the delivery of fundraising and communications activities, including donor stewardship, grant prospecting and applications, individual giving campaigns, database management, and storytelling.
