The Centre for Spanish Speaking Peoples (CSSP) is a non-profit, multi-service organization that has been serving the Spanish-speaking Latinx/Hispanic community in the Greater Toronto Area for nearly 50+ years. As a cornerstone of support for generations of Latinx individuals, CSSP provides an extensive range of services, including pro-bono legal aid, settlement support, and integrated services for women experiencing or at risk of gender-based violence (VAW). Our outreach extends to critical areas such as sexual health education, harm reduction initiatives, food bank support, and counseling services.Looking both to our past and our future, CSSP continues to evolve as a vital hub for the Latinx/Hispanic community in Ontario. The Destination Development &amp; Marketing Committee guides BEDT’s tourism and 

destination strategies by: 


 • Providing oversight on the Destination Stewardship Plan implementation and 

Destination Brand

(EIMS), the HRRs will assist clients to provide a range of early intervention services, including interviews, preparing assertion

Qualifications include in-depth knowledge of human rights legislation in Ontario, including the Human Rights Code and related

tribunals. As well as commitment to applying the principles of cultural competence, including recognition of the need to deliver

and strategic Resource Development Specialist to lead, coordinate and support the organization’s resource generation,

and its capacity to deliver impactful, human rights legal support services across Ontario. The successful candidate for this 
exciting opportunity will have: 

 • Exceptional writing and communication skills. 

 • Understanding of human rights issues impacting marginalized, Code-protected communities. 

 • Familiarity with and understanding of human rights issues affecting Code-designated communities. 

 • Strong research, analysis and evaluation skills.

OUTREACH, EDUCATION &amp; ACCESS TO JUSTICE ADVOCATE 
 

The Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC) provides a broad range of free legal assistance to individuals 
throughout Ontario who have experienced discrimination contrary to Ontario’s Human Rights Code. The HRLSC is 
seeking applications for an Outreach, Education &amp; Access to Justice Advocate to develop, coordinate, and deliver 
outreach and public legal information, education and awareness initiatives designed to promote stakeholder and public 
awareness of and equitable access to HRLSC legal services, advice and assistance respecting the infringement of 
rights under the Code. The role will help lead and coordinate HRLSC strategic efforts to increase and improve access 
to legal services and supports for people in Ontario, especially those who are most marginalized and vulnerable to 
discrimination. 
 
Qualifications include the ability to use knowledge of relevant theories, principles and best practices relating to 
community and stakeholder outreach, engagement and relationship-building and management, including to enhance 
service access for marginalized communities especially vulnerable to discrimination. Strong understanding of 
discrimination and harassment under the Ontario’s Human Rights Code and related redress processes and options. 
High-level computer and digital literacy skills, including website, visual/graphic design, and social media 
management. Commitment to applying the principles of cultural competence in performing the job responsibilities, 
including recognition of the need to deliver services to the public in a manner that recognizes the unique needs of 
the diverse communities served by the HRLSC. Standing with the Law Society of Ontario is an asset. Ability to 
communicate in French is not mandatory but strongly preferred. 
 
Full Job Description 
 
This is a full-time, contract position until March 2028, and is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit. This position offers a 
hybrid work schedule, requiring a combination of in-person work from the HRLSC’s Toronto head office and remote 
work from home, each week. This arrangement may be subject to change as part of the HRLSC’s Recovery Plan 
process. The HRLSC provides a competitive total compensation package. Salary range for this position is $81,060 - 
$98,975.65. The usual hours of work are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
