Hustle for the House – September 28, 2025

Ronald McDonald House Charities® Alberta (RMHC Alberta) is passionate about providing a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children who must travel for medical care.

We know that a family with a sick child is a sick family. A Ronald McDonald House ® provides a warm, compassionate and comfortable environment where families can share experiences, receive respite and distraction, eat a warm homemade meal and rest, all while caring for their child at the hospital next door.

RMHC Alberta is part of a global network of Houses, Family Rooms, Care Mobiles and Comfort Carts prioritizing family-centered care through delivery of our unique core programs. RMHC Alberta operates four Houses offering private family suites, and Comfort Carts that deliver bedside services in hospital.

Your Role:

We are currently looking for passionate, community-minded individuals based in Calgary to join the Hustle for the House Volunteer Team. This is an annual event that we are excited to host in the University District around the Calgary Ronald McDonald House. You can volunteer as an individual or grab your family and friends and come as a group. We have roles that include Route Marshals, Festival Site Volunteers, Traffic Attendants and many more!

Your enthusiastic smiles and cheers for our participants as they run a 10k, 5k or mini movers 1k in support of our mission will really enhance the event.

Hustle for the House is part of our Signature Event Series and the generosity and commitment of all our Volunteers profoundly impacts the families that stay at a Ronald McDonald House in Alberta every year. Volunteer support of our Signature Events helps us raise almost a million dollars every year.
