ABOUT TREK FOR TEENS 
The Trek for Teens Foundation is an entirely youth-led and volunteer-run charity that focuses on 
raising funds and awareness for youth experiencing homelessness in Canada. We strongly 
believe in youth helping youth, and therefore our team is primarily made up of post-secondary 
students and young professionals across multiple cities in Ontario and Quebec. We strive to 
ensure our team member's personal growth is aligned to their work at the charity, and that they 
are able to develop professionally through our organization. 
 
DESCRIPTION 
This position reports to the Regional Director of Toronto. You will help with the logistical 
planning and execution of Toronto region Trek for Teen events. The Toronto Event Manager will 
work closely with other members of the leadership team to ensure that event planning is 
completed efficiently and on time including initial planning, budget proposals and execution. 
They are encouraged to take initiative and are welcome to plan their own events based on their 
passions and skills. Through this position, the candidate will truly be able to help the greater 
community while gaining knowledge about youth homelessness and skills in event coordination, 
leadership, and volunteer organization 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES 

â Assist in Strategic Impact Planning: Develop and implement strategic goals for the year 
â Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other managers in the Toronto region 

such as fundraising/sponsorship, brand and marketing and finance to ensure cohesive 
and effective events 

â Performance and Analytics: Provide KPI's for events and utilize the data to make 
informed decision to optimize strategies for better results 

 
QUALIFICATIONS 

â Has event planning experience 
â Excellent communication skills and work ethics 
â Experience organizing events an asset 
â Strong leadership skills 
â Understanding of Google Drive and Sheets 

 
COMMITMENT

Reporting to the Regional Director of Toronto, the Toronto Corporate Relations Manager is 
responsible for all sponsorship opportunities for the Toronto region of the Trek for Teens 
Foundation. The Toronto Relations Manager Manager will seek out opportunities to promote the 
Trek for Teens Foundation mission through various monetary and in-kind sponsorships. This 
position requires consistent collaboration with various directors and departments. This is a 
sponsorship position in the organization that requires attendance at all regional sponsorship

Toronto Corporate Relations Manager

Our Business Lab is a free online workshop series for entrepreneurs interested in launching a business. The workshop series equips them with the tools needed to launch and run a profitable business. Participants will receive training and coaching to develop their ideas into viable business plans. The role of the session trainers is to develop and present specialized content related to small business. Topics are geared to new and small business entrepreneurs and individuals with limited to no business training. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering a two-and-a-half-hour workshop that is educational and engaging. ACCESS provides input to our workshop volunteers on general training topics that would be relevant to the needs of our clients. We, however, welcome the expertise of each volunteer to develop and design individual training sessions. Related Skills &amp; Experience:<ul>	<li>Experience as an entrepreneur, small business owner/advisor or with a business environment.</li>	<li>Experience delivering business or financial workshops/webinars for small businesses and the general public would be an asset.</li>	<li>Strong communication, interpersonal &amp; networking skills.</li>	<li>Public speaking and presentation.</li>	<li>Experience working with diverse cultural and socio-economic groups.</li>	<li>Second language an asset.</li></ul>Commitment: Will vary based on needs and availability. Workshop presenters can expect to participate in two or more presentations per year. &nbsp;
