Reporting to the President &amp; CEO and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, this role is responsible for donor development strategy, revenue growth, and team leadership.</p><p>The Director of Development is accountable for driving revenue growth across donor segments, including expanding the overall donor base, launching and scaling a monthly giving program, and increasing total giving to support TWR Canada’s mission.</p><p>Specifically, in this role you’d be responsible for:</p><h4><strong>Fundraising &amp; Donor Engagement - 40%</strong></h4><ul><li>Manage a personal portfolio of major and mid-level donors, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts to meet annual revenue goals.</li><li>Build strong relationships with churches, Christian foundations, and ministry partners across Canada.</li><li>Develop donor segmentation and profiling strategies to grow monthly donors and reach new audiences, especially younger demographics.</li><li>Implement creative donor acquisition and retention campaigns, bringing fresh thinking and practical execution to every stage.</li><li>Lead initiatives that grow the number of active donors, broaden engagement beyond existing supporters, and strengthen donor retention.</li><li>Represent TWR Canada at donor visits, foundation meetings, and public events as a passionate ambassador for the mission.</li></ul><h4><strong>Strategic Planning &amp; Revenue Growth - 25%</strong></h4><ul><li>Design and implement a national fundraising strategy aligned with the size, scope, and vision of TWR Canada.</li><li>Provide strategic direction for upcoming changes to the website and digital giving platform (execution support available).</li><li>Analyze fundraising data using DonorPerfect to evaluate segmentation, retention, giving trends, and campaign effectiveness.</li><li>Grow and diversify revenue streams, including major gifts, planned giving, grants and digital campaigns, with a focus on engaging new generations of supporters.&nbsp;</li><li>Launch and expand a monthly giving program as a core component of donor growth and long-term sustainability.</li><li>Ensure measurable year-over-year growth in both donor numbers and overall giving, aligned with organizational goals and scorecards.</li></ul><h4><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Coaching - 15%</strong></h4><ul><li>Lead and mentor a small team of development staff and contractors, providing clear direction, spiritual support, and regular feedback.</li><li>Equip board members and volunteers with tools and encouragement to participate in fundraising initiatives.</li><li>Foster a collaborative, Christ-centered culture of prayer, excellence, and shared accountability.</li><li>Set clear goals and ensure the team has the necessary resources to meet deliverables and drive long-term donor development success.</li></ul><h4><strong>Events &amp; Experience</strong></h4><ul><li>7–10 years of fundraising experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.</li><li>Proven success in major gifts, foundation giving, campaign strategy, and donor engagement.</li><li>Experience with donor segmentation and campaign development.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Philanthropy, or a related field.</li><li>CFRE designation or working toward it is an asset.</li><li>Proficient with donor CRMs (DonorPerfect experience preferred), Microsoft Office, and digital engagement tools.</li><li>Valid driver’s license; <p><strong>Who We Are:</strong></p><p>ProAction Cops &amp; Kids is a charitable organization that raises funds to support police-led programs for vulnerable, under-resourced youth. &nbsp;At ProAction, we bring cops and kids together in skill-building and mentoring programs to create trust, respect, and safer communities. By funding programs that bring cops and kids together, we help create an environment that promotes mutual understanding and respect and establishes positive relationships that strengthen our community today and for the future.&nbsp;</p><p>ProAction established its first chapter in Toronto in 1991 and since this time has opened new chapters in Durham Region, Hamilton, Halton Region, Peel Region and London with plans for further expansion.&nbsp; Over the past 34 years, ProAction has distributed over 10.5 million dollars to support 2,750 police-led youth programs engaging close to 450,000 young people through the leadership of our police partners.</p><p><strong>Who we are looking for:</strong></p><p>ProAction Cops &amp; Kids is looking for a part-time Regional Coordinator passionate about community safety and bettering the lives of youth, to support its London chapter.&nbsp;</p><p>Reporting to the Executive Director and working in collaboration with police officers and a volunteer Chapter Council of local community and business leaders, the Regional Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all chapter activities including the administration and evaluation of program applications, spearheading local fundraising and coordinating Council and Committee meetings. &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Program Applications:</strong></p><ul><li>Support police officers with the program application and budget process.</li><li>Process and score all chapter program applications submitted by police officers.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate Grants Committee meetings and present analysis of each program application for funding consideration.</li><li>Document funding decisions in meeting minutes.</li><li>Input application information into the grants database and generate reports as needed.</li><li>Monitor progress of all approved grants ensuring programs are delivered and budgets expensed as approved.</li><li>Receive and reconcile final program and financial reports.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct program visits and facilitate the completion and evaluation of program surveys.</li></ul><p><strong>Fundraising:</strong></p><ul><li>In collaboration with the Chapter Council, coordinate, attend and support regional fundraising activities including events, proposal development, fundraising outreach, etc.</li><li>Prospect and reach out to local sponsors and donors to support fundraising events and programs ensuring sponsors, donors, volunteers are recognized as appropriate.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Support:</strong></p><ul><li>Document and reconcile revenues and payables relating to chapter activity.</li><li>Assist with the development of the annual chapter budget and monitor revenue and expenses to ensure the budget is maintained.</li></ul><p><strong>Communications</strong></p><ul><li>Compile program success stories and collaborate with Social Media/Communications Coordinator to feature and promote programs and events.</li><li>Post social media material as appropriate adhering to ProAction’s social media policies.</li><li>Promote ProAction throughout the chapter’s police service and local community.</li><li>Assist in the development of chapter-related marketing material.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Chapter Administration:</strong></p><ul><li>Track and record regional program and fundraising activities.</li><li>Schedule and coordinate Chapter Council and Committee meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma or degree in a related field such as community services, project management, marketing, finance.</li><li>Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a related position.</li><li>Experience with grant writing and event coordination</li><li>Intermediate computer skills including MS Access, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint</li><li>Strong financial skills and able to manage multiple financial transactions and reconcile budgets.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the police community and build support and cooperation.</li><li>Comfortable making presentations to large audiences and interacting with a variety of stakeholders including high-level executives, donors, and police.</li><li>Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Proven organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical skills.</li><li>Must have valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
