About Enchanted Hope Foundation

Enchanted Hope Foundation is a Canadian nonprofit creating meaningful experiences and resources for children facing cancer, NF and other serious illnesses.

Through our Enchanted Hope Collection of original children’s books and character plushies, along with our Kindness Cards program, we aim to bring representation, comfort, imagination and hope to children and families during incredibly difficult experiences.

Our Kindness Cards give children, students, families and community members an opportunity to create a small message of kindness for a child who may be spending time in hospital or facing a difficult medical journey.

About the Role

We are looking for a Kindness Cards & Community Outreach Volunteer who is passionate about kindness, community involvement and creating meaningful connections.

This person will help us grow our Kindness Cards program by connecting Enchanted Hope Foundation with schools, youth groups, community organizations, businesses and other groups that may want to participate.

You will help turn a simple act of kindness into something that can reach children when they need it most.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your interests and experience, you may:

• Help expand the Enchanted Hope Kindness Cards program
• Reach out to schools, classrooms, youth groups and community organizations
• Connect with businesses and community groups interested in hosting Kindness Card initiatives
• Help organize Kindness Card drives and community projects
• Coordinate the collection of completed cards
• Help organize volunteers participating in card-making initiatives
• Help communicate guidelines and information to participating groups
• Build relationships with schools and community organizations
• Research new community outreach opportunities
• Help promote Kindness Cards through social media and community networks
• Track participating organizations and the number of cards created
• Help coordinate delivery or distribution of cards through appropriate community and healthcare partners
• Brainstorm new ways to spread kindness to children and families
• Represent Enchanted Hope Foundation at appropriate community events and initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and passionate about helping children
• Friendly, approachable and comfortable speaking with others
• Organized and dependable
• Comfortable communicating by email and phone
• Interested in community outreach and volunteer engagement
• Creative and enthusiastic about developing new ideas
• Able to work independently and follow through on commitments
• Comfortable connecting with schools, community organizations and businesses

Experience in education, youth programs, community outreach, volunteer coordination, social work, nonprofit work, communications or event planning is an asset, but not required.

You do not need previous nonprofit experience. A genuine passion for creating positive experiences for children and a willingness to reach out to the community are what matter most.

Commitment

We are looking for someone who can commit approximately 3–5 hours per month, with additional time when organizing a specific Kindness Card drive or community initiative.

This is a volunteer position. There is no requirement to personally donate to the Foundation.
