About Enchanted Hope Foundation

Enchanted Hope Foundation is a Canadian nonprofit creating meaningful experiences and resources for children facing cancer, NF and other serious illnesses.

Through our Enchanted Hope Collection of original children’s books and character plushies, along with our Kindness Cards program, we aim to bring representation, comfort, imagination and hope to children and families during incredibly difficult experiences.

Following our annual Enchanted Hope Gala, we are expanding our year-round fundraising and events program for 2027.

About the Role

We are looking for a Fundraising & Events Volunteer who is creative, organized and excited about bringing people together for a meaningful cause.

This volunteer will help develop and support fundraising initiatives throughout the year, from smaller community events and campaigns to our annual Enchanted Hope Gala.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves coming up with ideas, planning events, connecting with people and turning ideas into successful fundraising opportunities.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your interests and experience, you may:

● Brainstorm creative and engaging fundraising ideas

● Help plan and coordinate year-round fundraising initiatives

● Research potential fundraising opportunities and community events

● Assist with organizing smaller Enchanted Hope fundraising events

● Help coordinate event logistics, timelines and volunteers

● Support promotion of fundraising campaigns and events

● Help recruit and coordinate event volunteers

● Assist with donor and participant communications

● Help approach businesses and community organizations for event support or in-kind donations

● Assist with silent auctions, raffles, activities and other fundraising components

● Help with planning and preparation for the annual Enchanted Hope Gala

● Attend and assist at Foundation events when available

● Track fundraising results and help identify opportunities for improvement

● Bring new ideas and creative energy to the Foundation’s fundraising efforts

● Passionate about helping children and families

● Creative and enthusiastic

● Organized and dependable

● Comfortable communicating with people

● Interested in event planning and fundraising

● Able to take initiative and work independently

● A team player who enjoys collaborating with others

● Comfortable helping with outreach and promotion

● Willing to contribute ideas and take ownership of projects

Previous experience in event planning, fundraising, hospitality, marketing, sales, community events or nonprofit work is an asset, but not required.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and ready to help turn ideas into action.

Commitment

We are looking for someone who can commit approximately 3–5 hours per month, with additional time when working on a specific event or fundraising campaign.

This is a volunteer position. There is no requirement to personally donate to the Foundation.
