About Enchanted Hope Foundation

Enchanted Hope Foundation is a Canadian nonprofit dedicated to bringing stories, representation, kindness and hope to children facing cancer, NF and other serious illnesses.

Through our original children’s books and character plushies, the Enchanted Hope Collection gives children the opportunity to see themselves represented in stories created around experiences they may be facing.

We also run our Kindness Cards initiative, where children and community members create handwritten cards and drawings to brighten the hospital experience for children facing serious illness.

Our annual Enchanted Hope Gala is our signature fundraising event, and we are now expanding our year-round fundraising, community outreach and volunteer initiatives.

About the Junior Board

We are building our 2027 Enchanted Hope Junior Board and are looking for motivated, creative and reliable individuals who want to make a meaningful difference while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, events and community engagement.

Junior Board members will work alongside the Foundation’s leadership and help shape and grow Enchanted Hope’s initiatives throughout the year.

This is an opportunity to take an active role—not simply attend meetings. We are looking for people who are willing to bring ideas, make connections, take ownership of projects and follow through.

What You Could Help With

Junior Board members may contribute in areas such as:

● Fundraising: Help develop and execute fundraising campaigns, community fundraisers and peer-to-peer initiatives.

● Corporate Partnerships: Identify and connect with businesses that may be interested in sponsoring Enchanted Hope programs, books, plushies, Kindness Cards or events.

● Event Planning: Help organize community fundraising events and support the annual Enchanted Hope Gala.

● Kindness Cards: Help expand our Kindness Cards initiative through schools, businesses, sports teams, community organizations and other groups.

● Marketing & Social Media: Help share the Enchanted Hope story, programs, events and impact.

● Community Outreach: Introduce Enchanted Hope to new organizations, communities and potential volunteers.

● Volunteer Engagement: Help recruit and coordinate volunteers for specific initiatives.

● Creative Projects: Bring new ideas for fundraising, awareness and community engagement.

Junior Board members will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects that align with their interests and strengths.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for individuals who are:

● Passionate about helping children and families

● Reliable and willing to follow through on commitments

● Comfortable taking initiative

● Creative and willing to bring new ideas

● Interested in fundraising and community engagement

● Strong communicators and team players

● Interested in developing leadership skills

● Willing to make a genuine commitment to the Junior Board

Previous nonprofit or board experience is not required. We are interested in your initiative, skills, ideas and willingness to contribute.

We welcome individuals with backgrounds or interests in fundraising, business, sales, marketing, communications, event planning, education, healthcare, community development, social media and other related areas.

Commitment

Junior Board members are expected to:

● Participate in regular Junior Board meetings

● Contribute to at least one area or project

● Participate in fundraising and/or community initiatives

● Attend or support the annual Enchanted Hope Gala where possible

● Communicate reliably with the Junior Board and Foundation leadership

● Follow through on projects and responsibilities they commit to

This is a volunteer leadership position. We are looking for individuals who genuinely want to be involved and help build something meaningful.
