<h2>Role Overview</h2>The Treasurer and Chair of the Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee (FARC) plays a critical leadership role on CEE’s Board of Directors. The role ensures sound financial oversight, strong risk management, and accountable governance aligned with CEE’s mission to support the advancement and economic empowerment of young Black professionals.As a Board member, the Treasurer contributes to strategic decision-making, helps shape Board meeting agendas, and serves as a key advisor on the financial implications of organizational priorities. Our&nbsp;Mentoring with Math Program&nbsp;is designed to strengthen the impact of tutoring by adding in the element of mentorship. Volunteers meet once-a-week for 90 minute sessions during afternoons over a 10 week period, and work on numeracy, activities, and games. No previous experience with math is necessary for volunteers and all training is provided by Big Brothers. This program is offered virtually and in-person in Greater Vancouver. Our Math Mentors are<ul><li>Adults aged 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender diverse individuals.</li><li>Reliable, consistent, dedicated and respectful of others.</li><li>Available to meet once weekly during weekday afternoons between 4:00pm and 5:30pm for 90-minutes for in-person sessions, or 60 minutes for virtual sessions.</li></ul>Our Mentoring with Math volunteers are asked to enroll in two 8-10 week terms as it's the best way to experience this fun program.
