Volunteer Job Assignment Volunteer Assignment: Part-time Graphic and Web

Designer Location: Remote Goal: With the broad scope of influence and the significant on-line presence of the Canadian Migraine Society, there is a need to have a volunteer who can support the founder and director with producing graphics, imaging and a cohesive brand across the website, social, newsletters as well as being able to engage in performance tracking. Canadian Migraine Society is seeking a graphic designer with experience and accommodation will be made for flexible work hours. Volunteer Assignment Responsibilities:

• Use Squarespace to edit and update website
• Create graphics for Instagram Posts
• Create Newsletter template and send out to CMS database once/quarter. (Copy

will be provided by Maya)
• Tracking, reporting, analyzing website and newsletter performance
• Staying current with website trends and tools, and implementing best practices

Assignment Boundaries All work is produced and created under the guidance of the founder and this volunteer will not create material or make changes without explicit permission. The commitment will be intermittent on an on-going/as-needed basis. Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Squarespace marketing tools
• Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven

decisions
• Ability to work remotely, independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Graphic Design degree or diploma
• Ability to take the lead; self-starter

Other Requirements:
• Two Reference Checks
• Signed waiver for Code of Conduct when provided
• Completed Volunteer Orientation when provided

Training & Supervision:

• Oversight by Maya Carvalho
• Regular review of Canadian Migraine Society website and other material as

provided

Time Commitment:
• Intermittent; as needed; avg. 2-4 hours per week.
