The Opportunity 

Position Overview 

The Associate Manager, Youth Programs (STEM Leaders: Launch &amp; Connect Alumni) is a 
collaborative and detail-oriented role responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, 
experiential STEM programming for senior high school youth and young alumni. 

â The Launch program (Grades 10–12) supports youth as they explore STEM careers, 
develop leadership and career readiness skills, and prepare for postsecondary pathways

Education &amp; Training

â 2–3 years of experience in youth programming, facilitation, or education, ideally with high

Job Summary: 

Founded in 1960, the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) is one of the largest and most 

comprehensive non-profit agencies in Ottawa and a registered charity. It provides mental health 

services, employment programs, emergency shelter, community, health and housing services, and justice 

programs to youth in the Ottawa area, serving between 2,500 and 3,000 at-risk individuals aged 12+ and 

their families every month. YSB employs 400 caring professionals in a unionized environment in over 21 

locations across Ottawa. 

Under the general supervision of the Director and with the immediate guidance of the Assistant Director, 

the Coordinator is responsible for the overall functioning and operation of the Downtown Services and 

Drop-In programs in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Youth Services 

Bureau. 


Principal Duties: 


Staff &amp; Program Related: 

 • Support the effective recruitment, supervision, evaluation and training of unit staff and student 

placements as assigned 

 • Oversee and ensure the smooth day to day operations of the unit including the delegation of and 

coordination of essential daily activities 

 • Ensure timely preparation of staff schedules 

 • Facilitate unit staff meetings to assess program and client needs and outcomes 

 • Support Youth Engagement staff to effectively work with youth teams to achieve work plan 

outcomes 

 • Help to continue the development of effective peer supporter/adult staff working relationships, 

processes and procedures 

 • Continue to develop by-youth-for-youth programming at the drop-in 

 • Assist with the continued integration of on-site service partners (Health clinic staff; school staff; 

Wabano case management) with drop-in services

EFry Hope and Help provides trauma-informed, inclusive and gender-responsive programs and services to support women and girls at risk or involved in the legal system in building stable lives &nbsp;We are recruiting a Full time Supervisor for Haven House, an emergency shelter bed program that supports self-identified women experiencing or at risk of homelessness, receiving temporarily shelter. It offers assistance in accessing permanent housing and in-house support services, including life skills training, counselling, employment, mental health and addiction resources and referrals to other community resources. &nbsp;The Supervisor ensures the day-to-day operations of the program is run in a professional and efficient manner with attention to confidentiality and in compliance with EFry’s policies and philosophy. &nbsp;Reporting to the Manager, the Supervisor provides ongoing supervision and evaluation of all staff personnel and program policies. The Shelter Manager provides management and oversight of the day-to-day operations of a 
sub-set of Homelessness Services, specifically ‘The Shelter’. This person ensures that the

and problem solving to ensure smooth functioning/operations and achievement of operational 
and strategic goals. Health and safety, along with ensuring adherence to all related regulations
