FINANCE MANAGER (FULL-TIME)

Annual Salary Range: $63,000 - $73,000<ul><li>Permanent Full-time Opportunity with Extended Health Benefits and eligible to participate in the BC Municipal Pension Plan.</li></ul>PurposeThe Finance Officer performs backup day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the Foundation to assist with process improvements within the department.Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.</li><li>Coordinate bi-weekly disbursement cheque runs.</li><li>Complete monthly donation reconciliation and weekly donation bank transactions.</li><li>Support biweekly disbursement cheque runs and liaise with PHSA Accounts Payable.</li><li>Monitor weekly corporate credit card balances, assist with credit limit adjustments and manage card issuance.</li><li>Provide backup support for quarterly PST and GST filings.</li><li>Respond to queries, fund balances and commitments outstanding to fund signatories and Foundation staff.</li><li>Assist with financial reporting for Foundation raffles in compliance with Gaming Policy &amp; Enforcement Branch regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reporting package and fund balance updates.</li><li>Support the development of audit working papers related to cash, grants and other financial areas.</li><li>Perform additional duties as required.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience, with a registered charity or non-profit organization considered an asset.</li><li>Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>CPA Designation or working towards designation.</li><li>Understanding of fund accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the non-profit sector considered an asset.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Raiser’s Edge is an asset.</li><li>Prior experience in grant management is an asset.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or collaboratively.</li><li>Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.</li><li>Commitment to ethical behaviour and alignment with the mission and values of St. Paul’s Foundation.</li></ul>Diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential to creating a great workplace.
