CUSTODIAL &amp; MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR FULL-TIME SALARIED POSITION POSTED DECEMBER 15, 2025Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to the success and vitality of a local heritage arts facility from the inside. Working throughout the building and in the community, the successful candidate will manage and support all areas of facility custodial and maintenance needs. The Custodial &amp; Maintenance Coordinator works most closely with the management team, but will collaborate with all other Capitol Theatre team members. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced and changing environment, can work independently and in a collaborative team setting.This position requires the candidate to work early mornings as well as some evenings and weekends to accommodate seasonal schedules.DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES Keeps the building and property in clean and orderly condition. Completes daily/weekly/monthly cleaning duties (frequency depending on season), including garbage removal &amp; recycling management, &nbsp;sweeping/mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and all other areas to ensure effective presentation for the public.&nbsp; Performs routine maintenance activities, including lightbulb replacements, fire extinguisher checks and reporting, general repairs, etc. Oversees of all facility systems, including security systems, HVAC, BAS, etc. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies, in collaboration with Patron Services Manager. Manages relationships with all vendors and suppliers related to facility maintenance. Works alongside management to address the need for repairs or additions to the facility. Other duties as assigned. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS Some prior experience working in custodial, maintenance and/or facility management sectors. Some prior experience working in the non-profit sector is recommended.&nbsp; Prior experience working in an arts organization is an asset.SKILLS Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures. Program Overview – Financial Empowerment, Community Programs The Financial Empowerment (FE) Program serves to prevent, reduce, and alleviate poverty by directly addressing the financial barriers in the lives of our clients.&nbsp; We provide free and unbiased financial counselling, education, and tax filing support to Torontonians who are living on a low income and who are unable to address these issues alone.&nbsp; We are a program in constant development and expansion, actively pursuing opportunities to explore innovative methods, and produce research on best practices to maximize client impact. The Coordinator, Financial Empowerment will oversee the operation of WoodGreen's free, year-round income tax filing service and develop, coordinate, and facilitate group workshops to clients and professionals on financial topics relevant to living on a low income, and support the development and implementation of new client service innovations within our program. What You Will Do<ul><li>Coordinate the intake/appointment booking functions for the FE and Income Tax services and provide training/oversight to students and volunteers.</li><li>Perform light-touch financial empowerment interventions with clients (e.g. tax returns, access Notices of Assessment from CRA records, support clients in completing financial applications). </li><li>Maintain timely documentation/case notes in program database regarding any direct client services provided, and support volunteers and students in accurate data entry. </li><li>In collaboration with other staff, coordinate the scheduling and operation of tax volunteer training and tax clinic service delivery, and provide instruction/oversight to volunteers.</li><li>Monitor volunteer performance, provide constructive feedback, and conflict resolution.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership-level volunteers to support skill development of new volunteers, prioritizing high quality and respectful customer service.</li><li>Develop and facilitate Financial Literacy Workshops to a diverse group of clients on a variety of financial topics relevant to living on a low income (tax filing and benefits access, debt and credit management, budgeting and money management, banking, low-income retirement planning, etc.).</li><li>Coordinate and maintain schedule of workshop bookings, and book appropriate volunteer support where needed.</li><li>Perform outreach and networking activities as needed to build relationships with strategic community partners to reach target client groups.</li><li>Collect attendance records, client feedback forms, and administer research and evaluation surveys with participants.</li><li>Participate in program planning and development activities.</li><li>Collaborate with FE Supervisor &amp; FE Manager to develop and execute plans for new client service intake and delivery innovations as part of newly funded projects. </li><li>Provide support to other programs looking to connect their clients with FE services.</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>2+ years’ experience coordinating program delivery and facilitating workshops in the social services sector.</li><li>Experience performing intake or outreach with marginalized and vulnerable populations, participation with a Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) and/or coordinating a large volunteer program is considered an asset.</li><li>Experience working from client-centred, anti-oppressive framework</li><li>Experience working with and mentoring volunteers, students with varied skill set</li></ul>What Will Set You Apart<ul><li>Ability to adjust communication or teaching style to meet the needs of diverse groups of clients facing a variety of personal and systemic barriers.</li><li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Detail-oriented, independent worker with strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Comfortable setting up mobile technology (e.g. laptops, WiFi hub, projector, etc.).</li><li>Strong computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.</li><li>Strong understanding of intersectionality of race, age, sexuality, gender, ability, and the associated risks of poverty and homelessness.</li><li>Those with lived experience of one or several of these dynamics are highly encouraged to apply.</li></ul>

assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications/ Skills Required:<ul><li>Post-secondary degree or diploma in sales, marketing, human services, or another related field relevant to the duties of the position is highly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in job development, community outreach, job carving, business development, sales, recruitment, or other experience directly transferable to the core deliverables of the position is required.</li><li>Demonstrated track record in a results-driven environment with experience meeting targets is required.</li><li>Previous experience with developing relationships with employers, familiarity with Employment Ontario programming, and working with clients from various
