Our&nbsp;Mentoring with Math Program&nbsp;is designed to strengthen the impact of tutoring by adding in the element of mentorship. Volunteers meet once-a-week for 90 minute sessions during afternoons over a 10 week period, and work on numeracy, activities, and games. No previous experience with math is necessary for volunteers and all training is provided by Big Brothers. This program is offered virtually and in-person in Greater Vancouver. Our Math Mentors are<ul><li>Adults aged 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender diverse individuals.</li><li>Reliable, consistent, dedicated and respectful of others.</li><li>Available to meet once weekly during weekday afternoons between 4:00pm and 5:30pm for 90-minutes for in-person sessions, or 60 minutes for virtual sessions.</li></ul>Our Mentoring with Math volunteers are asked to enroll in two 8-10 week terms as it's the best way to experience this fun program. We offer business training, mentorship and facilitate connection to financing to empower entrepreneurs, strengthen communities, and build inclusive economies in Ontario.<h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3>ACCESS Business Lab</h3>Our Business Lab is a free online workshop series for early-stage entrepreneurs interested in launching businesses. The workshop series equips participants with the tools and skills needed to launch and run profitable businesses. Participants receive training in business essentials and coaching to develop their ideas into viable business plans. Topics covered range from ideation, marketing, finance, taxes, AI and more.&nbsp; &nbsp;<h3>Role and Responsibilities</h3>The role of the workshop facilitators is to develop and present specialized content related to business. Topics are geared to early-stage entrepreneurs with limited to no business training. Workshops are about&nbsp; two-and-a-half-hours and should be educational and engaging. ACCESS provides input and support to our workshop facilitators on general training topics that would be relevant to the needs of our clients.
