With a legacy dating back to 1972, MCSS has continuously strived to support community members in need.The Human Resources Coordinator will be the primary point of contact for diverse employee-related inquiries, and will handle benefits administration, coordination of recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes, and support various HR programs and initiatives.&nbsp;What you’ll do<ul><li>Serve as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries and escalate matters as necessary.</li><li>Assist managers and employees with HR-related questions and concerns.</li><li>Assist with preparing and updating job descriptions.</li><li>Coordinate job postings and advertising, both internal and external.</li><li>Attend job fairs or other events to promote the organization to job seekers.</li><li>Assist in preparing and updating interview question guides.</li><li>Conduct reference checks.</li><li>Prepare job offer letters.</li><li>Send and receive onboarding paperwork and ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Process criminal record checks.</li><li>Ensure new hires have appropriate system access.</li><li>Conduct new employee orientation sessions.</li><li>Create new employee files.</li><li>Facilitate benefits enrollment, additions, changes, and terminations.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of employee benefits.</li><li>Support the development and implementation of performance management processes and tools.</li><li>Track probationary periods and follow up with managers to ensure new hires are successful in passing probation periods.</li><li>Assist managers in identifying performance improvement opportunities and action plans.</li><li>Participate in managing workplace injury files, including reporting and updates.</li><li>Serve as the first point of contact for internal queries regarding work-related injuries.</li><li>Assist in the development and administration of HR programs.</li><li>Maintain training and certification records for employees.</li></ul>What you bring<ul><li>Post secondary diploma specializing in Administration or Human Resources plus a minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a unionized environment; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of employment laws &amp; regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.&nbsp;</li><li>Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.&nbsp;</li><li>First Aid, MANDT, or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset.&nbsp;</li><li>Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check mandatory.</li></ul>Job Posting #: 202512041Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours/day.
