Position Summary: 

Reporting to the EarlyON Program Manager, the EarlyON and BFSP Floater is responsible for 
providing high-quality, flexible support across multiple EarlyON and Black Family Support

experiences, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for children aged 0-6 years and their 
caregivers. This role requires adaptability, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to 
work collaboratively with various program teams to enhance family engagement and child

DUTIES: 

 • Support EarlyON and BFS programs by filling in at various locations as needed, ensuring 
seamless program delivery. 

 • Implement play-based learning activities that promote children’s physical, social, 
emotional, and cognitive development. 

 • Create an inclusive and culturally responsive environment that respects the diverse needs 
of families, including those from equity-deserving groups. 

 • Engage parents and caregivers in the learning process by modeling positive interactions 
and providing guidance on early childhood development. 

 • Assist in planning and executing family events, workshops, and seasonal activities that 
enhance parent-child bonding and community connections. 

 • Ensure program spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained, monitoring materials and 
resources for availability and safety compliance. Maintain accurate attendance records

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early

 • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with young children and families in an

 • Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning 
approaches.

The North American Native Plant Society (NANPS) is looking for new Board Members to join our vibrant, volunteer-led team.&nbsp; As a volunteer-run organization, NANPS depends on the commitment of its board members to help shape our direction and manage key areas of our work. These include operations, organizing plant sales, running events, overseeing communications, landing stewardship, restoration projects, and more. Prior Board and/or non-profit experience, as well as experience in the environmental sector are considered to be assets, but are not essential. The Board meets nine times per year on a weekday evening, and board members are also expected to actively participate in committee work.
