Volunteer - Asian Women for Equality

Asian Women for Equality welcomes new volunteers to join our efforts in supporting women, fostering community and connection among women of Asian descent, and creating opportunities for Asian women to participate meaningfully in society.

We are now recruiting volunteers with diverse talents and backgrounds!

To become a volunteer, please join our Volunteer Onboarding Programs, where you’ll learn about our mission, programs, and how you can get involved.

Our volunteer onboarding consists of Two sessions designed to ground volunteers in our mission and values. The first introduces you to our work and community; the second invites you into a deeper conversation about the social issues that shape our organization. Together, these sessions prepare you to volunteer with understanding and connection to our group's work.

(1) Session 1: Orientation — “Understanding Who We Are”

This session introduces our organization’s mission, values, and programs.

• What we do, why we do it, and who we work with
• The impact volunteers have and what roles they can play
• The culture and expectations of volunteering

(2) Dialogue — “Exploring What Matters”
This is a facilitated discussion around an issue connected to our organization’s work—something that reflects our values and feminist thinking. The goal is to have an engaging dialogue that starts to bridge the gap between our lived experiences and AWE's values, and to build connection among the volunteers.
