Prior Board experience is not required. Board meetings are held on ZOOM, so you do not need to live in Etobicoke. To help you get comfortable in your role, we will provide a mentor for you throughout the first year. A detailed Policies and Procedures manual will be an additional resource.
You will officially document Board proceedings, work with the Chair to ensure their accuracy, and distribute Minutes. This is an important role for keeping members informed, on track, and for facilitating the organization's mission.
Technical requirements: access to a computer
Hard skills: Proficiency with Email, MS Word and preferably Excel
Soft skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, team and facilitation skills
This role would be ideal for someone that is about to retire or is retired.
