Pratibha Arts is a Toronto-based performing arts organization dedicated to presenting and advancing South Asian dance and interdisciplinary work. Through performance, education, and collaboration, it brings culturally rooted and contemporary work to diverse audiences across the city.

Role Overview

Pratibha Arts is seeking a board member to support audience development and engagement. This role focuses on expanding reach, deepening relationships with audiences, and strengthening the organization’s visibility within and beyond the South Asian arts community.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategies that grow and diversify audiences
• Participate in board meetings and strategic discussions
• Support outreach efforts by connecting the organization to new communities, networks, and partners
• Advise on positioning, messaging, and audience experience
• Identify opportunities for collaborations, cross-promotion, and community engagement
• Act as an ambassador by attending events and introducing new attendees to the organization

Ideal Experience and Skills

• Interest in live performance and culturally diverse artistic practices
• Experience in marketing, communications, audience engagement, or community building
• Ability to think strategically while contributing practical ideas
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a governance setting
