Join our team as a Weekend Networking Session Volunteer and help create an engaging debate-themed event where youth can practise public speaking, build confidence, and connect with others.

What You Will Do:

  • Welcome participants and assist with event setup
  • Lead public-speaking icebreakers and debate games
  • Encourage participants to share ideas and join discussions
  • Help present Regional Speech Contest and volunteer opportunity slides
  • Support food and drink distribution
  • Assist with event timing, cleanup, and general operations

What You Will Gain:

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Age between 12–30
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable speaking in front of small groups
  • Patient, respectful, and supportive when working with seniors
  • Ability to guide discussions and encourage participation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail in preparing slides and handouts
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Ability to adapt communication style to different learning needs
  • Commitment to completing basic training
  • Fluency in English
  • Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (required if over 18)
