This position works on behalf of WoodGreen Community Services and is responsible for launching, operations, evaluation, and growth of a new community-based service for youth.What You Will Do<ul><li>Develop and update program manuals/protocols, and materials to ensure compliance with organizational, funder-specific, and accreditation standards and requirements.</li><li>Coordinate scheduling of staff and volunteers to ensure sufficient coverage for Walk-In Counseling.</li><li>Implement ongoing promotion/awareness building of program and related programs with the immediate and broader community, in conjunction with communications department.</li><li>Identify and implement mechanisms for community and client input to support organizational quality improvement measures and foster ongoing enhancement of the program.</li><li>Identify and actively participate in existing and new partnership initiatives to enhance the program and promote its reach and sustainability.</li><li>Engage in active outreach and stakeholder engagement to support development of the community of practice/network.</li><li>Complete statistical reports and submissions and maintain all records and forms regarding visits and program/activity enrollment, using a client information database in a timely manner.</li><li>Prepare and monitor program financial information, support development of funding proposals and develop and oversee WIC and YOT budgets and ensure it is adhered to.</li><li>Initiate, develop, and facilitate implementation of the evaluation framework for the program.</li><li>Support program development and evaluation activities to plan and implement new services and initiatives that build on and enhance the objectives of the program.</li><li>Provide clinical oversight, ongoing orientation, supervision, performance management, mentorship, training, and support to staff, volunteers, and students in the program.</li><li>Ensure compliance with organizational policies, Collective Agreement, and legislative requirements. </li><li>Ensure that the equity objectives and community development policies of the organization are achieved within the program.</li><li>Monitor staff performance targets and data quality annually by regularly reviewing documentation in client management systems, calls reports, statistics, and consultation with staff.</li><li>Follow up with referral source(s) to assess program eligibility, confirm receipt of referral, obtain additional information to support client care, and/or offer information on alternative sources of support if the client is deemed ineligible for the program.</li><li>Identify and actively participate in existing and new partnership initiatives to enhance the program and promote its reach and sustainability, as required.</li><li>Participate in system-level networks on behalf of WoodGreen and MGH.</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team<ul><li>M.S.W or Graduate degree in Psychology or graduate degree in related Field.</li><li>Member in good standing with Professional College in Ontario.</li><li>5+ years of clinical experience in mental health and/or substance use sector and demonstrated ability to develop effective services for individuals and communities facing these challenges.</li><li>5+ years of progressive leadership experience, in a unionized environment.</li><li>Personal knowledge and lived/living experience of issues that affect communities and populations served by WoodGreen is a strong asset </li><li>Meet the requirements to clinically supervise graduate-level students, Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists under the respective Colleges is preferred</li><li>Experience with supervising Peer Support Workers would be a strong asset</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to principles of social justice, anti-oppression, anti-racism, equity and inclusion</li></ul>What Will Set You Apart<ul><li>Demonstrated experience working within and/or supervising an interdisciplinary team</li><li>Demonstrated ability in supporting youth who have complex mental health and/or substance use issues, history of trauma, violence/abuse, chronic physical health issues, etc.</li><li>Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of mental health, addictions, children &amp; youth, health sector, and community resources.</li><li>Knowledge of, experience with, and demonstrated ability in providing therapeutic interventions, such as Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed approaches, etc.</li><li>Proven working knowledge of theories of addiction, evidence-based treatment models and best practice approaches.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate an anti-oppression approach to practice and work from a client-centered, anti-racism, harm reduction, and trauma informed approach is required. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting marginalized communities, policies, legislation, programs, and other issues related to scope of practice and social determinants of health.</li><li>Experience working with diverse and marginalized communities, including ethno-cultural and religious groups, LGBTQSS+ youth and youth adults, those impacted by poverty and those involved in youth justice.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to respond to crisis situations promptly and professionally while adhering to ethical and legal responsibilities.</li><li>Experience providing individual and/or group clinical supervision.</li><li>Experience in program development and evaluation.</li><li>Ability to develop, foster and maintain partnerships and develop and implement community development initiatives.</li><li>Strong organizational, leadership skills, team building skills, and strategic planning.</li><li>Experience in supervising staff, students, and volunteers.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of community resources</li></ul>To ApplyGo to the WoodGreen Careers page at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.woodgreen.org/about-us/careers/" target="_blank">https://www.woodgreen.org/about-us/careers/</a> and click on the position(s) that you are interested in to submit your cover letter and resume and to answer a short questionnaire.WoodGreen is an equal opportunity employer.
