Warehouse Volunteer
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning:
- Wipe down, sanitize, and refresh donated items as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, shelves, and storage areas
- Sorting:
- Assess incoming donations for quality and suitability
- Organize items by category (e.g., clothing, books, housewares, toys)
- Separate items that need special handling or repair
- Pricing:
- Assist in labeling items using established pricing guidelines
- Identify unique or high-value items and flag them for supervisor review
- Shelving & Merchandising:
- Stock shelves and racks in an organized, attractive manner
- Rotate inventory to keep displays fresh
- Ensure aisles and displays stay neat, full, and shopper-friendly
