
Event Planner & Facilitator Volunteer
Volunteer Type: Hybrid
Location: Online/3333 Finch Ave East.
Volunteer Hours: 2-3 hrs./wk., flexible work schedule
Volunteers Needed: 3
Reports to: Event Planning Team Lead
Position Summary:
Volunteers in this role will collaborate closely with the Volunteer Services team to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of virtual volunteer events. These may include Volunteer Social Events, Gaming Events, Recognition Events, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Volunteer Services team in brainstorming and developing creative ideas for upcoming virtual events.
- Help with event planning and preparation, including organizing materials and coordinating logistics.
- Attend approximately 8–10 volunteer events annually, both onsite and virtually, to support the Volunteer Services Coordinator with event facilitation, participant engagement, event logistics, and overall event delivery.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and comfortable working in a virtual environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage monthly content deadlines.
- A team player with strong communication skills.
- Strong research and organizational skills
- Must be 16 years or older
