Reports to: Volunteer Services Coordinator

Position Summary:

Senior Persons Living Connected (SPLC) is looking for a Volunteer Event Planning Team Lead to help support and organize volunteer, student, staff, and community events.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, leadership, creativity, and event planning. The Team Lead will help coordinate event activities, support volunteers, attend planning meetings, and assist the Volunteer Services Team with both virtual and onsite events.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and support a team of volunteer Event Planners in the planning, coordination, and execution of volunteer events and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Volunteer Services Department to develop and implement engaging virtual and in-person events.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members while providing guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support.
  • Attend weekly Team Lead meetings with the Volunteer Services Coordinator and other Volunteer Services Team Leads to discuss ongoing projects, provide updates, collaborate on initiatives, and support departmental goals.

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and support a volunteer team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be 18 years or older
