Unpaid Volunteer Position

Vancouver Kelp Fest is a FREE event for kelp and seaweed lovers based in Vancouver, BC on the traditional and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. The event features educational outreach from local universities and organizations, crafts and cyanotyping, an art gallery, and much, much more!

Vancouver Kelp Fest will be happening Sunday August 23rd, from 10am to 5pm at the Maritime Museum and the Museum of Vancouver. We will start setting up at 9am, and will go until 6pm for take down.

Duties:

Help guests through the entire cyanotyping pipeline from setting up their design using dried seaweed and stencils, exposing it to sunlight/UV light, rinse, and develop. Keep track of individual artworks and arrange them to dry.

If interested, please contact Lindsay at lin.macin123@gmail.com.
