Volunteer Board Member
You CAN make a difference in the life of a child!
Highland Shores Children's Aid (HSCA) protects and cares for vulnerable children and youth in the counties of Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward and provides programs and services that help to empower them and their families.
To support the work we do, we need a wide range of perspectives from the communities we serve.
HSCA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from the community at large. The Board consists of up to 14 members each elected for 3-year terms.
The Board meets 10 times a year to ensure that we are meeting our standards of service to children and families, and discusses programs and services, policy, and administrative issues. The Board also has two standing committees that meet each month 10 times a year and advisory committees that meet either monthly or quarterly.
