Support Group Convenor
The Volunteer Convenor works with the Support Group Facilitator to run support group meetings, ensuring they run as smoothly as possible by handling all logistical aspects of the meeting.
This includes organizing and preparing meetings, acting as a liaison between the group and its members and attending the monthly meeting.
The convenor also calls group members monthly to remind them of the upcoming meeting, provides BTFC staff members with updated membership listings, and ensures the meeting room is ready.
Strong computer and administrative skills are required for this role. The Convenor is supported by the Support Services Specialist at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and will be offered training and ongoing check-ins.
