OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Stewardship, this position employs best practices to support the integrity and quality of Fund Development processes. This role engages high standards of communication in relation to stewardship of donors, and will support the Fund Development Team with customized reports and analysis for data driven decision making.

This role will start as a one-year full-time contract with the opportunity of full-time employment with Moorelands Kids.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Database Management:

1. Responsible for data entry of donations and processing all payment methods
2. Manage data quality that involves data cleansing processes
3. Ensure New and Monthly Donors are stewarded with attention to relationship building
4. Create and provide timely thank you letters and receipts
5. Ensure batches and tax receipts are coordinated diligently and accurately
6. Create queries and key reports for donor stewardship and donor management
7. Conduct database prospect research
8. Update CRM Actions to track funding application deadlines and reports
9. Utilize external ticketing systems such as Eventbrite or Ticket Tailor for events
10. Provide support in all Annual Campaign activities
11. Evaluate current processes to identify opportunities for efficiencies and update SOP
12. Other duties as assigned

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Stewardship:

1. Ensure effective communication in a timely manner to recognize donors by phone
2. Work with the Manager, Communications & Stewardship to craft tax receipt letters, and other communications, as needed
3. Effectively steward donors and track these interactions in CRM
4. Identify major donor prospects and track exceptional gifts
5. Maintain and update New and Monthly Donor Journey workflow to improve and track retention
6. Develop new strategies for donor acquisition and how to track conversion rates
7. Manage donor recognition for various segmentation such as the Annual Report
8. Support the Fund Development team in cultivating and stewarding external relationships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting and Analysis:

1. Generate customized reports for fundraising regarding trends, patterns and campaign performance to support the Fund Development and Communications team
2. Responsible for monthly reconciliation reports and annual audit
3. Support communications in tracking and organizing data analytics for social media and website

Qualifications:

Experience in the not for profit sector or charitable sector

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Fund Development with knowledge of CRMs such as Raisers Edge and Donor Perfect
• Excellent grasp of fundraising best practices in relation to donation processing and tax receipts
• Strong verbal and written communications skills with the ability to represent Moorelands Kids in a friendly and professional manner while stewarding individual donors and funding partners
• Proficient analytical abilities for compiling reports
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional and collaborative manner
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a positive work ethic
