We are looking for a dedicated and organized Saturday Site Coordinator to manage operations at our Edmonds location.

Position Overview:

The Saturday Site Coordinator will play a vital role in overseeing the smooth operation of the weekly food distribution. This includes opening and closing the facility, coordinating volunteers, managing food deliveries, and ensuring that all processes run efficiently. The Site Coordinator will share responsibilities with fellow coordinators and a team of volunteers to create a welcoming environment for clients and ensure the proper distribution of food items. The Site Coordinator will have the opportunity to shadow the current Site Coordinator to learn and get comfortable in the role.

Site Management:

  • Open and close the facility, ensuring security and proper setup
  • Oversee hall setup, including placement and storage of supplies (e.g., cardboard, garbage bins, pallets)
  • Ensure the site is organized, safe, and ready for operations

Volunteer Coordination:

  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers during setup, sorting, and distribution
  • Ensure volunteers understand and carry out their assigned roles effectively
  • Delegate training of new volunteers to experienced “buddy” volunteers
  • Monitor staffing across stations (produce, dairy, bread/dessert, meat, deli, etc.)

Delivery Management:

  • Oversee incoming food deliveries, ensuring items are properly received, weighed, and sorted
  • Ensure all stations are fully stocked and prepared for distribution

Client Assistance:

  • Supervise food distribution to ensure a smooth and respectful client experience
  • Ensure all stations are adequately staffed and replenished throughout service

Cleanup & Closeout:

  • Supervise cleanup efforts and ensure all closing tasks are completed
  • Reference and enforce the end-of-day checklist for volunteers
  • Secure and close the facility at the end of the shift

    Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain smooth operational flow
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, community-focused attitude
  • Previous volunteer coordination or leadership experience is an asset, but not required

What We Offer:

  • A meaningful opportunity to give back to the community
  • Hands-on experience in leadership and operations coordination
  • A supportive, team-oriented environment
  • The chance to make a direct impact in people’s lives each week
