About the Role
We are seeking an Operations & Development Coordinator Intern to work closely with organizational leadership in supporting the day-to-day operations, growth, and development of YBIB.
This role serves as a central point of coordination across the organization, helping support internal systems, initiatives, events, and cross-department collaboration. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, organizational development, event coordination, community engagement, and leadership support within a growing youth-focused organization.
This internship is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, systems-oriented, and interested in nonprofit leadership, operations, administration, project coordination, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior leadership to support organizational priorities and initiatives
- Assist with day-to-day coordination across departments including Communications, Events, Fundraising and Education & Programming
- Help improve communication, organization, and follow-through across teams
- Support the planning and execution of programs, events, campaigns, and community initiatives
- Assist with volunteer coordination, onboarding support, and event operations
- Monitor project progress and help maintain accountability across ongoing initiatives
- Support internal planning systems, calendars, workflows, and organizational processes
- Assist with developing and improving operational systems, documentation, and internal resources
- Help identify opportunities to improve participant, volunteer, and community experience across programs and events
- Assist with grant research, funding opportunities, and proposal preparation
- Maintain awareness of relevant community dates, campaigns, and engagement opportunities
- Attend events and programming as needed to support operations and remain connected to organizational activities
- Contribute ideas and support organizational growth, systems improvement, and new initiatives
