This includes&nbsp;the identification, cultivation,&nbsp;solicitation,&nbsp;and stewardship&nbsp;of a portfolio of&nbsp;significant&nbsp;donors and prospects&nbsp;primarily&nbsp;residing&nbsp;in the&nbsp;TOK&nbsp;Region.&nbsp;The&nbsp;core focus of this role is to deepen relationships within the region&nbsp;with individuals, as well as &nbsp;some foundations and corporations,&nbsp;to&nbsp;grow the number of supporters&nbsp;making five-figure&nbsp;and larger&nbsp;gifts.&nbsp;The Role<ul><li>Manage a portfolio of individual, foundation, and corporate donors and prospects in the Thompson‑Okanagan‑Kootenays region who give, or have the capacity to give, $5,000+ to local and provincial initiatives. </li><li>Develop and implement an annual portfolio plan, including identification, personalized&nbsp;cultivation&nbsp;and stewardship strategies to&nbsp;ensure retention, and growth of revenue&nbsp;and the number of donors giving five‑figure gifts.&nbsp;&nbsp; </li><li>Research and write personalized proposals, compelling letters, strong funding applications, and inspiring gratitude reports. </li><li>Meet and exceed revenue and&nbsp;moves&nbsp;management targets within the&nbsp;Major Giving&nbsp;portfolio annual plan, as guided by the&nbsp;Manager, Major&nbsp;Giving,&nbsp;and in collaboration with the&nbsp;Major Giving&nbsp;team. </li><li>Act as the Major Giving TOK&nbsp;lead&nbsp;to articulate funding priorities projects and develop budgets to support fundraising. </li><li>Act as an expert resource for the Major Giving team when others have donors in their portfolio with an identified interest in work being done in the TOK region. </li><li>Provide meaningful,&nbsp;creative,&nbsp;and&nbsp;appropriate stewardship&nbsp;for donors in their portfolio, including&nbsp;demonstrating&nbsp;the direct impact of the donor’s generosity. </li><li>Coordinate&nbsp;donor recognition by working with&nbsp;appropriate BC SPCA&nbsp;staff to ensure all commitments and deliverables are fulfilled. </li><li>Prepare for and&nbsp;participate&nbsp;in face-to-face meetings and solicitations, partnering with Executive and Senior Leaders, Regional&nbsp;Staff&nbsp;and senior volunteer fundraisers as&nbsp;appropriate.&nbsp; </li><li>Identify&nbsp;and lead projects, as assigned, to improve processes and procedures of portfolio management at the BC SPCA.</li><li>Participate in and contribute to developing the donor pipeline with colleagues managing major and mid-level giving portfolios, including the identification and stewardship of mid-level and expectant donors.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul>Other Duties:<ul><li>Collaborate with the&nbsp;Senior Officer,&nbsp;Events&nbsp;(TOK)&nbsp;on donor identification, cultivation,&nbsp;solicitation&nbsp;and stewardship activities to help grow event revenue. </li><li>Support&nbsp;Centre Managers&nbsp;in the region&nbsp;with non-fundraising opportunities to build community engagement and connections (attend community meetings and events, where&nbsp;appropriate). </li><li>Act as an ambassador for the BC SPCA by sharing the organization’s story and values within the region, fostering meaningful&nbsp;connections&nbsp;and encouraging community involvement. </li><li>Throughout the year, support the Communications and Digital teams by sourcing and providing local story and image content. </li><li>Support Regional&nbsp;Manager&nbsp;and&nbsp;Centre Managers&nbsp;in the region&nbsp;to ensure front-line staff process donations accurately, promptly, and provide excellent customer service to donors and the public. </li><li>Field inquiries, provide information, and&nbsp;assist&nbsp;in resolving complaints&nbsp;in a timely manner. </li><li>Maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;and&nbsp;timely&nbsp;donor records in Raiser’s Edge and other tracking systems, ensuring all correspondence and interactions are documented. </li><li>Conduct research on current and prospective donors. </li><li>Use relevant measures and metrics to evaluate the success of the assigned portfolio. </li><li>Report on activities regularly to the&nbsp;Manager, Major Giving&nbsp;and to the Senior Director, Philanthropy and other staff as&nbsp;requested. </li><li>Contribute to quarterly reporting on key philanthropy initiatives and activities for the Board as&nbsp;requested. </li><li>Attend and&nbsp;contribute&nbsp;to team,&nbsp;department&nbsp;and organization meetings.
