
Office Administrator
The Penticton & District Hospice Office Administrator, an employee of the Penticton & District Hospice Society, manages the administrative work associated with the Society’s responsibilities, assists the Board in administrative duties and tasks as required and supports the work of other Society team members, including the Volunteer Coordinator and Interior Health Administrative Assistant. The Office Administrator is a permanent part-time (25 hours/week) position, conducting business in a professional environment from an office in Penticton.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordination of mail and correspondence, including oversight of donations and issuance of tax receipts, thank you notes, etc.
- Tracking donations and invoices and working with the Society’s bookkeeper to maintain records of bills and receipts and undertaking associated banking duties.
- Overseeing website maintenance and improvements, coordinating the Society’s social media presence
- Maintaining oversight of stakeholder relations including donors and contractors, as well as recognition programs
- Supporting special events including coordination and promotion
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in general office work, including business administration, basic financial and marketing work
- Work with a non-profit an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Professional, organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Experience with website maintenance and ability to manage web developers
- Must be computer proficient, preferably MS Office and Google Suite experience
- Motivated and enthusiastic to learn
Remuneration
- The Office Administrator is a part-time (25 hours/week) position, delivered during regular business hours Monday to Friday but with flexibility. Occasionally special events are held on weekends.
- Compensation (salary, vacation and health benefits) is commensurate with experience and training.
