Muskoka Women’s Shelters and Services Seeking Passionate Volunteer Board Leaders
Muskoka Women’s Shelters and Services operates Muskoka’s two shelters for women fleeing domestic violence: Chrysalis in Huntsville and Muskoka Interval House in Bracebridge, and serves women throughout the region.

We envision a world where women, children and gender diverse people have a safe, dignified and fulfilling life, free from violence.
Our Mission:
Our shelters and services strive to prevent abuse and violence against women in Muskoka and to alleviate their impacts by providing emergency and transitional housing, educational services, assistance navigating legal and government systems, and support for the family unit so women have the freedom to make the best and safest choices for themselves and their families.
MWSS currently has opportunities for volunteer board members to help lead the organization and guide our strategic vision.
We welcome all passionate applicants but are currently looking for applicants with expertise in:
- Finance
- Legal
- Marketing
Applicants should reside in the Muskoka region. Time commitment
Term: 3 years
Meetings: 9 per year
Committee work: 3 hours per month
Strategic planning every 3 years
