Manager, Donor Relations & Philanthropy is responsible for inspiring philanthropic investment in the Children's Hearing & Speech Centre of BC by building authentic, lasting relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations and community partners. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role leads the Centre's annual fundraising program and donor stewardship initiatives, helping ensure that every child with a hearing difference has access to exceptional listening and spoken language services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned relationship manager who enjoys both strategy and execution. The successful candidate is self-directed, organized, action-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision. They take initiative, follow through on commitments, enjoy being out in the community, and are equally comfortable cultivating a major donor, writing a sponsorship proposal, or making thank-you calls. They thrive in an environment where relationships matter, results matter, and every day brings a new opportunity to make an impact.

This is a permanent part-time position averaging 25 hours per week. The position follows a hybrid work model. The successful candidate is expected to work from the Centre each Thursday to collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings, with the remainder of the schedule worked remotely or in the community as appropriate. Occasional evening and weekend work is required for donor meetings, fundraising events and community activities.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of progressive experience in fundraising, relationship management, business development or a related field.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience using a donor relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • A warm, collaborative approach and a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and families.
