Early Childhood Assistant-Supply, Temporary Contract

We are looking to fill One (1) ECA Supply, Temporary Contract Position.

Candidate Must be available to work:

Monday-Friday 9-4 for the duration of September 9th-October 9th and as needed beyond October 9th.

Description of work tasks and responsibilities:

The ECA will support and assist the team by:

• Maintaining a healthy and safe environment
• Interact and socialize with the children in a play setting
• Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and creativity for children 0-6 years
• Include materials and experiences that are culturally appropriate and represent diversity
• Conduct and assist in storytime and song circle
• Be able to support and guide children with their social and emotional development
• Be able to communicate with the children and families on a daily basis with sensitivity and respect

Qualifications:

• ECE or ECA preferred
• Experience in a Family Resource Program (an asset)
• Experience working in a child care environment
• Experience with children aged 0-6
• A second language would be an asset
• Strong skills working with families & children

EXPECTED Start Date is September 9th 2026.

Salary $20.00 per hour
