Development Coordinator
Position Summary
Ruth and Naomi’s Mission has been in Chilliwack for over 20 years. From handing out sandwiches to the unhoused in downtown Chilliwack, we have grown to encompass three locations in Chilliwack and over 100 staff. We operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. In our Community of Chilliwack, we serve over 500 meals each day; we provide shelter for over 200 people each night; we support 30 people in our bed-based recovery programs for men and women… just to name a few of our services. Ruth and Naomi's Mission is a Christian faith-based organization with a vision and commitment to see the lives of people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and struggling with addiction transformed by the love of God.
The Development Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining relationships that generate financial support for Ruth & Naomi’s Mission. This role focuses on donor cultivation, corporate partnerships, sponsorship development, and fundraising support to grow sustainable revenue aligned with the Mission’s priorities.
Working closely with the Director of Development, this position manages donor engagement activities, supports fundraising initiatives, and develops meaningful relationships with individuals, businesses, and community partners.

Accountabilities
1. Donor Development & Stewardship
- Identify, cultivate, and steward individual donors
- Manage donor pipeline and engagement tracking
- Conduct donor meetings and follow-up communications
- Support major donor cultivation activities (Director-led strategy)
2. Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships
- Develop and implement corporate sponsorship opportunities
- Secure and maintain corporate partnerships
- Build long-term relationships with business supporters
- Identify new partnership opportunities in the community
3. Fundraising Campaign Support
- Support execution of fundraising campaigns and appeals
- Assist in preparing donor proposals and sponsorship materials
- Track donor engagement and campaign outcomes
- Contribute to donor communications as needed
4. Events (Revenue-Focused)
- Support planning and execution of fundraising and donor events
- Coordinate sponsorship involvement in events
- Ensure events support donor cultivation and stewardship goals
5. CRM & Donor Data
- Maintain accurate donor records and activity tracking
- Ensure timely updates to donor pipeline information
- Support data accuracy in fundraising systems
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Experience in fundraising, sales, or relationship management
Experience with CRM systems an asset
Skills and Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships

Compensation
- Enrollment in our RRSP matching program after successful completion of probationary period
- Enrollment in our employer-paid extended health program after successful completion of probationary period.
- Education & training opportunities available
- Salary of $68,000-72,000 dependent on experience
Team and Culture
- In office – Standing and or sitting required while working at a desk or computer.
- Full Time, in office, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm with additional hours as required to fulfill job demands. Travel between our locations in Chilliwack required.
