Do you want to be part of an organization that is working to strengthen communities by creating safe, stable, and supportive housing environments? Are you interested in helping ensure that tenants experience well-maintained, welcoming, and well-operated homes? Are you someone who enjoys coordinating building operations, supporting tenants, and working collaboratively with staff, contractors, and community partners? If you’re looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families while contributing to the effective operation of supportive housing communities, this may be the career opportunity you’ve been waiting for!

Our Coordinator, Tenancy & Building Operations is an important contributor to our organization, providing coordination, administration and overall support to EHM’s tenancy, Rent Geared to Income (RGI) housing program and building operations activities.

Founded in 1913, Evangel Hall Mission (EHM) is a multi-service agency that provides support to people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. Our Residences offer permanent, independent housing to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness. The Coordinator, Tenancy & Building Operations supports building operations activities for staff (Drop-in, Housing Support and administrative offices) and tenants (residential). Through the role’s responsibilities, it enables EHM to directly support those experiencing poverty.

We are looking for a Coordinator, Tenancy & Building Operations to join our team who cares about the same things. As a team we value non-judgmental acceptance, honouring commitments, transparency, continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration. If this speaks directly to you, then consider joining our team!

What you would bring to the role:

  • Successful completion of a diploma or degree in business, property management, facilities management, hospitality, construction, or a related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with local housing rules, the Housing Services Act, the Residential Tenancies Act, and standard RGI administration manuals.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in Building Operations
  • Financial administrative experience in social housing; experience administering Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) programs or subsidy-based housing is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with building superintendent(s), contractors, vendors, tenants, and other stakeholders to support the efficient and effective delivery of building operations and tenancy-related functions.

How you would know you are a good fit:

  • Your work ethos demonstrates non-judgmental acceptance, honouring commitments, transparency, continuous learning, accountability, and collaboration.
  • You demonstrate personal excellence and honesty, exhibiting the highest standards of commitment and responsibility.
  • You are someone who listens and understands situations, offering support and creative solutions to support all individuals involved and having considered the impacts of the various options, ensuring they are operationally sound.
  • You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in the areas of coordination, administration, and problem solving.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to support achievement of positive results.

What we would offer (a more detailed job description will be provided when invited to interview for the role):

  • You will work 37.5 hours per week, Mondays to Friday.
  • You will be based out of 552 Adelaide Street West; flexible to support other EHM buildings with on-site visits.
  • A competitive annual salary within the range of $50,000 - $60,000.

EHM is committed to reflecting the community we serve and to creating an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome people of all faiths, ages, races, ethnic origins, abilities, gender identities and sexual orientations into our doors. We encourage applications from people with life experience of poverty, BIPOC, newcomers, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, followers of all faiths, and those with no faith at all.

If this opportunity is a good fit for you, then please reach out with your cover letter and resume (combined into a single PDF) to hiring@evangelhall.ca by the end of the day (5:00 pm, eastern time) on November 17, 2026.
