Southlake Health Foundation is seeking a seasoned fundraising professional who thrives at the intersection of campaign strategy and execution to help lead a bold, transformative initiative shaping the future of leading edge care for our communities. We’re looking for a fundraising leader who specializes in campaign management. Our successful candidate is someone who combines strategic fundraising expertise with rigorous project leadership. You’ll be the force aligning teams, building momentum, and turning vision into measurable impact.

Providing operational leadership, the Campaign Lead serves as the senior project lead responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of the Foundation’s comprehensive campaign. In this pivotal role, they ensure all strategic, operational, and organizational components of the campaign are fully aligned to achieve ambitious fundraising goals for the Foundation’s transformative campaign in support of Southlake Health’s Distributed Health Network.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Campaign Lead collaborates closely across Foundation leadership and team, hospital colleagues, campaign volunteers, and internal fundraising teams to ensure the campaign delivers on strategic objectives and financial targets. This role is instrumental in orchestrating the people, processes, and systems that drive a high-performing, multi-year philanthropic initiative.

Rather than managing a personal portfolio of donors, the Campaign Lead plays a central leadership role in building and sustaining the campaign’s infrastructure, enabling success through disciplined planning, cross-functional coordination, and a culture of accountability. By providing structure, clarity, and momentum, the Campaign Lead empowers volunteer leaders, senior staff, and fundraising teams to perform at their highest level.

Team

The Major Gifts & Campaigns Team plays a critical role in cultivating and building relationships to drive sustainable growth from donors and prospects at $5K+ to enable the Foundation to meet granting commitments to Southlake Health to deliver leading edge care close to home.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Campaign Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee all campaign-related project management, ensuring activities are executed on time and within scope
  • Develop and manage campaign budgets, forecasts, and reporting dashboards
  • Establish and maintain systems, processes, and tools that support campaign effectiveness, including prospect pipeline tracking, meeting coordination, and volunteer engagement workflows
  • Partner with Donor Experience Portfolio to develop and deliver a donor acknowledgement, recognition and stewardship program to deliver on campaign goals
  • Partner with Development Operations and Finance to ensure accurate data management, reporting, gift processing and cash flow related to campaign activity

Fundraising Leadership

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, performance excellence and accountability
  • Oversee prospect/donor pipeline, lead campaign pipeline processes and management meetings, and ensure prospect movement
  • Provide structure and accountability for transformational and principal gift activity without holding a personal portfolio
  • Lead and coordinate development of briefing materials and customized proposals
  • Collaborate with Donor Experience Portfolio and Marketing & Communications to plan and execute campaign-related events, announcements, cultivation, recognition and stewardship activities
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to develop collateral and public-facing materials related to campaign cultivation, impact and stewardship

Staff, Volunteer & Leadership Support

  • Supervise, coach and mentor one direct report (Philanthropy Associate) and provide functional leadership to Executive Administrator, Major Gifts
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and management of Campaign Cabinet members and other volunteer leaders
  • Ensure volunteer leaders are well-equipped, informed, and engaged throughout the campaign.
  • Lead the coordination of campaign volunteer leadership meetings; overseeing logistics, setting agendas, preparing presentations and materials, notes and follow up actions
  • Support volunteer solicitors by preparing briefing notes, research summaries, and solicitation materials

Measurement & Reporting & Accountability

  • Track and report on campaign progress, including revenue, production, pipeline activity, volunteer engagement, and milestone achievements
  • Monitor revenue/production forecasting and campaign projections
  • Prepare regular updates for Senior leadership, Board, Campaign volunteers, and internal teams

Foundation Team

  • Work as a team player actively promoting a positive and professional work environment and culture
  • Conduct role with integrity and respect and with a focus on demonstrating the Foundation’s values
  • Act as an ambassador throughout the community, positively representing the Hospital and the Foundation
  • Maintain donor and Foundation confidentiality and privacy at all times
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional donor experience
  • Abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and work in a manner that is safe, reporting incidents immediately to direct supervisor
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Southlake Health and Southlake Health Foundation
  • Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the overall goals and objectives of the Foundation
  • Maintain and advance professional knowledge of and expertise in relevant fields

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, business, communications) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, campaign management, or nonprofit project leadership, preferably within healthcare or the charitable sector
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership and high-capacity volunteer leaders.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership, volunteers, and cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with donor databases (e.g. Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge) is an asset
  • High level of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment
