Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada Inc. is dedicated to translating the Bible into languages around the world, helping communities access the scriptures in their native tongues. Our mission is to make the Bible accessible to everyone, fostering spiritual growth and cultural understanding.
What you will do
- Provide strategic leadership and governance to the organization.
- Collaborate with fellow board members to set organizational goals and policies.
- Ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
- Oversee the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Evaluate the performance of the executive leadership team.
What we are looking for
- Required Skills: Strong leadership and governance experience, excellent communication skills, strategic planning abilities.
- Optional Skills: Experience in non-profit organizations, familiarity with Bible translation work, financial management skills.
At this time, the Board is particularly interested in candidates who may bring experience, education, or professional insight in one or more of the following areas:
- Financial stewardship, accounting, audit, or organizational finance
- Human resources, leadership development, workplace culture, or organizational development
- Legal, governance, risk, compliance, or policy oversight
