The SCL Responder may provide services locally or at a field operations team level and will coordinate material supplies, goods and vehicles, through established procurement, tracking, warehousing, distribution and transportation processes during a response.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; As a volunteer in this role, you will : Responsibility 1: Resource Management<ul>	<li>Assess resource requirements as assigned, ensuring the appropriate SCL processes are followed.</li>	<li>Follow procurement standard procedures as required and in accordance to the Red Cross Procurement Policy and the Procedures Manual and the Society Contract and Signing Authority (CASA) levels.</li>	<li>Assist with the demobilization and repatriation of supplies and equipment.</li></ul>Responsibility 2: Inventory Control<ul>	<li>Ensure adequate stock when opening site, maintain appropriate level of stock during response and complete a close of operation inventory/reconciliation.</li>	<li>Observe routine precautions in the handling of goods, materials and equipment including use of required personal protective equipment and hand hygiene.</li></ul>Responsibility 3: Transport Support<ul>	<li>Monitors safety considerations for vehicles, inspections, record maintenance.</li>	<li>Participates in the shipping of goods and transfers between sites locations, including driving people and inventory to and from sites.</li></ul>Responsibility 4: Planning and Preparedness<ul>	<li>Participate in Supply Chain and Logistics team member orientation &amp; training.</li>	<li>Assist in sourcing suppliers, creating new agreements for goods and services needed for operations and updating the contact information in the suppliers tracking sheet.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; You bring these essential talents :&nbsp;<ul>	<li>Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and or a minimum of one year of work-related experience in logistics, procurement and/or supply chain management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>	<li>Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li>	<li>Knowledge of procurement, transportation, warehousing or distribution an asset.</li>	<li>Understanding of Red Cross role in disaster response, relief and recovery, an asset.</li>	<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.</li>	<li>Ability to work well within a team - share information, be helpful, respectful, approachable and build strong relationships.</li>	<li>Strong attention to detail.</li>	<li>Ability to lift and carry goods weighing up to 50lbs or assist in carrying goods weighing up to 80lbs.</li>	<li>Certification in standard or emergency first aid, or willingness to complete.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Working Conditions :<ul>	<li>Potential for responding in disaster areas, as well as difficult and unstable conditions (environmental, physical, social, etc.) and uncomfortable conditions (noise, odours, smoke, humidity, vulnerable clients).</li>	<li>Potential for basic or hardship living conditions/accommodations.</li>	<li>The incumbent may need to stand for several hours.</li></ul>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; A satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check or equivalent is mandatory for all personnel volunteering or working with the Red Cross.&nbsp;

Are you passionate about sport, passionate about skiing or, specifically, freestyle skiing? Do 

you want to be involved with one of Canada’s leading winter Olympic National Sport 

Organizations (NSO’s)? Would you like to contribute to the development of a thriving sport 

system and help build a modern business in amateur sport? Then, please read on! 

Freestyle Canada (FC) is seeking candidates for Three (3) Director-at-Large positions on the 

Freestyle Canada Board of Directors (3 positions for a 3 year-term). We are seeking 

nominees with strong knowledge and skills in the areas listed below. We are striving to 

elect nominees from both small and large provinces/territories. 

Freestyle Canada promotes gender equity and strives to achieve a minimum of 40% of 

either gender on the Board of Directors. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the 

time of the election and should not be bankrupt as per Canada Non-for-Profit corporations 

act. Candidates must not currently work or hold a contract with Freestyle Canada and 

cannot be a current President or Chairperson of a Provincial or Territorial Sport 

Organization. 

The Organization 
 
Freestyle Canada is where tradition meets innovation. We're a cool sport with deep roots in 

the disciplined world of aerials and moguls, while also thriving in the creative, style-driven 

energy of slopestyle, big air, and halfpipe. Our community is passionate - coaches, officials, 

and staff who’ve been here for years because they truly love what we do. Now, we’re 

building on that legacy and welcoming fresh perspectives to add to our athlete-centric 

organization. We are looking for Board members to grow with us in this exciting Olympic 

year. 

FC is the NSO responsible for the stewardship of freestyle skiing across Canada and for 

managing the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team. FC has one of the most successful and 

advanced winter sport and athlete development systems in winter sport. 

Governance 
FC is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine (9) elected directors. The Chief 

Executive Officer (CEO) reports directly to the Board. The Board of Directors works as a 

policy board and is responsible for managing the FC’s finances, the FC’s strategic plan and 


oversight of the CEO. 

The Board of Directors is a skill and knowledge-based Board. 

The Opportunity 
During the FC Annual General Meeting on September 15, 2025, the Freestyle Canada 

membership will elect three (3) Directors at Large to the Board of Directors for three-year 
terms ending in 2028. You are welcome to submit your name as a Candidate on or 
before August 5, 2025. 

The Nominating Committee is generally seeking Candidates with knowledge and skills in 

the following areas: 

â Governance 

â Sport Leadership 

â Fundraising / Sponsorship 

â Finance 

â Strategic planning 


More specifically, we are looking for HR including DEI (HR designation preferred), finance, 

marketing and sponsorship to help us for the year 2025-2026.
