Volunteer Opportunity Unit Treasurer (flexible, skills-based role)
Behind every experience girls and youth have with their Girl Guide unit is strong financial stewardship. Are you detail-oriented and comfortable with basic financial tracking? Looking for a flexible, low-commitment way to give back? Contribute your financial skills to help girls and youth thrive in communities across Canada.

Why this role matters and your impact
As a Unit Treasurer, you ensure funds are managed responsibly so girls and youth can learn, grow and lead with confidence. We are seeking professionals with experience or interest in finance, banking, accounting or administration. This opportunity is perfect for early-career professionals or employees seeking skills-based volunteering.

What you’ll do
• Track and manage unit finances using simple templates and tools
• Support fundraising activities (including cookie campaigns)
• Help plan and monitor the unit’s annual budget
• Process payments and reimbursements
• Provide simple monthly updates to the team
• Complete a yearly financial summary

Time commitment:
Approximately 2-4 hours per month on a flexible schedule (times that suit you).
