You’ll help volunteers (many new to sales) learn how to confidently connect with municipal, commercial, and governmental partners, build relationships, and sell our beach-cleaning services. Your expertise will help shape an ethical, effective sales process that drives real environmental impact—creating cleaner, healthier coastlines for communities.Key Responsibilities ● Mentor and coach volunteers in sales fundamentals: prospecting, lead qualification, relationship building, and closing. ● Advise on approaching municipalities, public-sector buyers, and landscaping companies, including understanding RFPs, procurement cycles, and compliance requirements. ● Provide feedback on sales materials (presentations, emails, proposals). ● Conduct or lead occasional workshops or mock sales sessions to build confidence and skills. ● Help establish simple, sustainable sales processes and tracking tools for the team. ● Support volunteers in aligning sales messaging with the organization’s environmental mission and values.

Since 1988, Habitat GTA has built 23 new communities, empowering more than 500 families. Volunteer role description:<ul>	<li>Come with a willingness to learn from experienced volunteers and staff and to work as part of a team and become a habitat volunteer ambassador or mentor.</li>	<li>Greeting and customer service in store and over the phone regarding donations, store promotions, return policy, and more.</li>	<li>Supporting our eCommerce sales platform-with staging, photography and posting online.</li>	<li>Product display set ups and merchandising.</li>	<li>Product pricing, assembly, and repair of items.</li>	<li>Due to the nature of some store the tasks volunteers may be asked to lift heavy objects (furniture, appliances, bathroom fixtures, windows, doors)</li>	<li>Can or May perform heavy lifting (30 + pounds) with support equipment i.e., pump trucks and carts.</li>	<li>The position requires regular walking, standing, sitting, and stair climbing.</li>	<li>Uniform required for volunteers to wear are CSA approved green triangle label safety. JOB SUMMARYThe Working Centre is seeking a Community Bike Shop Animator to join the team at Recycle Cycles. Located in downtown Kitchener, Recycle Cycles is a community bike shop that provides a caring and supportive space where people can access the tools, space, and knowledge they need to fix their own bicycles for free, and access to inexpensive bicycles and parts.Recycle Cycles is a community enterprise project, always working to create a balance between involvement and production. We host and assist all people who come into the space, building trust and relationships while also holding the boundaries of the space in a thoughtful and caring way. Volunteers are the heart of our project, and we work with a diverse team of volunteers who join us each day to share their skills and learn new ones. Understanding people’s strengths and finding meaningful ways to engage them is a key aspect of our project. This is creative, productive and community building work.The Community Bike Shop Animator takes a lead role in supporting all the activities of the shop and for fostering an inclusive and diverse community of cyclists.ABOUT THE WORKING CENTREThe Working Centre is a dynamic community-based organization, forming a web of projects that wrap around people, building stability of place, income, health and mental health. Our work includes:<ul><li>St. John’s Kitchen and Outreach Hub - An integrated web of supports for people experiencing homelessness, addiction to drugs, experiencing mental illness, focusing on those most left out.
