<h2>Description</h2>This Volunteer Placement is Located in: Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, SurinameStart Date: January/February 2026Placement Length: 6 monthsLanguage Requirements: English <a href="https://cusointl.org/Language-Requirements" target="_blank">Level 4-Advanced&nbsp;</a>Eligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents of Canada, and residents of the Caribbean region.<h3>The Volunteer’s Role</h3>The overall purpose of the placement is to strengthen the capacity of National Conversation Trust Funds (NCTF) across the region to effectively monitor performance and effectiveness of its programs, including design of tools and systems for collection of gender disaggregated data and analysis of information. As a volunteer, you will support the development of results-based gender-responsive monitoring and evaluation procedures including development of impact assessment tools, indicators and sound M&amp;E methodologies ; build the capacity of staff through training on development of monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E) tools.As a volunteer, you will:<ul><li>Conduct assessment of staff capacity to implement M&amp;E tools and systems to assess program impact</li><li>Support the development of training resources and conduct training sessions with staff on results-based gender-responsive planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures and practices</li><li>Support the development M&amp;E systems and tools to collect disaggregated data and to conduct program impact assessments</li><li>Support the development of gender responsive and results-based indicators to monitor and report on the effectiveness of program implementation</li><li>Support the development of M&amp;E database and creation of M&amp;E reports</li><li>Support staff capacity building in grants management and monitoring &nbsp;</li></ul>Essential Requirements:<ul><li>University degree in social/political sciences, international development, human rights, gender studies, social work, law, public policy, or related field.</li></ul>Essential Background:<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a position (s) related to the promotion of gender equality, diversity and/or women’s development issues</li><li>Experience working with government agencies</li><li>Experience working with senior management</li><li>Experience in training and facilitation</li></ul>What’s in it for YOU? The accommodation will be fully furnished with essential items such as a stove, refrigerator, bedroom furniture, table, chairs, cutlery, upholstery, and sheets. It will include necessary amenities like running water and electricity. The experience will be similar to that of staying in an Airbnb. You will be responsible for the security deposit payment, typically equivalent to one month's rent. Additionally, the program office offers the option of an advance that will be deducted from your stipend over three to four months.Cuso International will cover the monthly rental cost of your accommodation. You will have a Volunteering Mobilization Advisor (VMA) to support you through the process and will participate in pre-placement training as part of your preparation. You will also have access to self-directed briefing documents, online training, and external resources through the volunteer portal.
