Grand Slam Slo-Pitch Tournament (In Support of Make-A Wish Canada)
This August, we’ll be turning the William F. Lede Park (4524 - 47 Ave, Leduc) into the ultimate home run with tons of prizes to be won, delicious on-site concession, awesome music, beer garden, auctions, raffles, fun-loving entertainment, and inspiring stories from our brave wish kids. We would love to have you join us as a volunteer for this fun and memorable event! NOTE: All event volunteers must be 18+
Details:
Date: Saturday Aug 15th and Sunday August 16th, 2026 (7:00am-6:00pm each day)
Location: William F. Lede Park 4524 - 47 Avenue, Leduc AB (onsite parking and transit accessible)
Meeting Spot: Make-A-Wish table (behind concession building)
To Bring: Make-A-Wish t-shirt, comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes, water bottle, sunscreen
Perks: Volunteers will receive Grand Slam baseball hat, snacks & food voucher for lunch
Volunteer Roles:
- Event Set-up
- Volunteer Team Leads
- Registration/Information Table
- General Support (50/50, Family Zone, Dunk Tank)
- Photographers (NOTE: Photographer volunteers must bring own camera and equipment)
- First Aid (NOTE: Volunteers must have valid up-to-date certification and provide proof to organizers to support this role)
Training: virtual training will take place in advance of event weekend
