These services are tailored to the specific needs of everyone, and you will work to build a clear and strong natural support systemYOUR IMPACT:<ul><li>Support individuals living independently, or striving for independence, with daily living tasks.</li><li>Assist individuals in planning activities that meaningfully engage them and expand their social networks, community connections, and experiences.</li><li>Provide targeted and meaningful supports that enrich everyone’s chosen lifestyle, with the goal of gradually fading out when appropriate.</li><li>Encourage independent decision-making that is safe and respects the dignity of risk.</li><li>Work independently and as part of a team that values communication, integrity, diversity, and self-advocacy.</li></ul>YOUR CAPABILITIES:<ul><li>Relevant post-secondary education in a related field and at least one year of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar environment.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of community-based supported living programs for persons with developmental disabilities.</li><li>Advanced computer skills with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and preferably experience with ShareVision.</li><li>Current CPR and First Aid certification, along with a clear Criminal Record Check.</li><li>Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.</li></ul>***&nbsp;This position requires flexibility to work shifts scheduled anytime between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday. ***Aspire Richmond Support Society provides a continuum of care throughout the lifespan of individuals with disabilities. Independent Living Consultant

Our medical volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and memorable experience for our campers. We are committed to fully supporting our volunteers, ensuring they can create a safe and supportive environment at Zajac Ranch.Responsibilities<ul>	<li>Support the overall health and well-being of campers, staff, and volunteers at Zajac Ranch for Children.</li>	<li>Distribute medical supplies and equipment to program areas and cabins at the start of camp.</li>	<li>Greet campers and their families during check-in, reviewing medication details such as dosage, routes, and schedules with parents.</li>	<li>Review campers’ medical files to ensure all necessary medications and needs are accounted for and prepared.</li>	<li>Organize and store all medications for both campers and staff.</li>	<li>Administer medications in accordance with the directions provided by the camper’s MRP (Most Responsible Physician).</li>	<li>Ensure that all medications and procedures are administered correctly and maintain appropriate records.</li>	<li>Document incidents according to camp guidelines, including logbooks, health department reports, and incident reports.</li>	<li>Respond promptly to first aid needs of campers and staff, treating minor illnesses, accidents, or mishaps.</li>	<li>Provide short break relief for 1:1 personal support workers if needed.</li></ul>Requirements<ul>	<li>Valid CPR-C certification (higher certifications are also accepted).</li>	<li>Current practicing registration with a relevant regulatory college or association in British Columbia.</li>	<li>A qualified professional in the&nbsp;field of medicine (MD) or nursing (RN, LPN, RPN, or NP). Students and paramedics are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on availability to pair with a nurse or doctor.</li></ul>Perks<ul>	<li>Accommodation is provided in a newly built medical residence, located near the medical center, featuring four bedrooms and two bathrooms.</li>	<li>Meals are provided by the camp chef.</li>	<li>Medical volunteers are welcome to bring up to two children (ages 7 or older) to camp, with camp fees waived for them.</li>	<li>Volunteers attending for more than one consecutive week can stay in the medical residence over the weekend</li></ul>How to Apply:Interested parties should apply by following the link below.
