Community & Social Services

If you enjoy connecting with people and want to raise awareness of the meaningful, practical support available to those facing cancer in your community, this role is for you.

You'll be out in your community, at hospitals, clinics, local businesses, and online, spreading the word about Look Good Feel Better so more people find us when they need us most. Every community is different, so this role adapts to fit what makes sense for you and the people you're reaching, whether that's setting up an info table, building relationships with local businesses, posting in a Facebook group, or all of the above.

What this could look like:
• Talking directly with patients at hospitals, clinics, or community spaces about LGFB and how to join a workshop
• Connecting with mastectomy boutiques, pharmacies, salons, and other local businesses that support people through treatment
• Sharing workshop information online, in local Facebook groups or other community spaces where people are already looking for support
• Working alongside LGFB's regional volunteers and staff, so your outreach builds on what's already working rather than starting from scratch

What we're looking for:
• Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence, comfortable travelling within a reasonable radius of your community
• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable starting conversations with new people, whether that's a patient, a healthcare provider, or a local business owner
• Some experience in outreach, sales, customer service, or community engagement is an asset, but not required (training and orientation provided)

• Organized and self-directed, comfortable shaping your own approach to what your community needs, and keeping track of what you've done so you can report back to the LGFB team

Time commitment: Flexible and self-scheduled, adjusted based on your availability and what opportunities we identify in your region.

Required career level
