Our Yonge Street Missions (YSM) Evergreen Health Centre & Dental Clinic Team partners with our licensed Health Care Professional volunteers to provide low barrier access to compassionate and non-judgmental health services for homeless and vulnerable youth, ages 16-24 (and their children). And, all services are free of charge (and OHIP cards are not necessary). These services include foot care, STI testing, chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, medical, dental care and more. If you are seeking a rewarding volunteer experience and an opportunity to use your skills in the community, consider joining YSM’s Evergreen Health Centre’s team of committed health care volunteers. We’re currently seeking the following Health Care Provider Volunteer Roles!

• PHYSICIAN/NURSE PRACTITIONER (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1pm-5pm, on a 2nd Tue, 2nd & 4th Wed, or 2nd Fri)
• DENTIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 9am- 12pm/1pm-5pm on a Mon, Wed, or Fri)
• DENTAL ASSISTANT (Available Shifts: Monthly from 9am-12pm/1-5pm, on a Mon, Wed, or Fri)
• PSYCHIATRIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Mon or Thurs)
• PSYCHOLOGIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Mon or Thurs)
• PHARMACIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5, on a Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, or Fri)
• ADDICTIONS THERAPIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Wed, or Fri)
• REGISTERED NURSE (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Mon or Tues)
• TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Wed or Fri)
• MASSAGE THERAPIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Wed or Fri)
• CHIROPRACTOR (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Tue)
• DIETICIAN (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a Wed or Fri)
• PHYSIOTHERAPIST (Available Shifts: Monthly from 1-5pm on a 1st, 3rd, or 4th Tue)

QUALIFICATIONS & COMMITMENT:

• Must be fully licensed, registered and in good standing with your Ontario/Canadian regulatory body. This includes having your own professional liability insurance.
• Able to volunteer one afternoon once a week or once a month (can commit to at least one regular afternoon per month)
• Able to make a 6 month – 1 year commitment (completing at least one of the above noted volunteer shift monthly)
• Committed to providing compassionate and non-judgmental health service
• Safety Requirements: All volunteers will be provided with gloves, cloth face masks, and other safety supplies and an orientation. And, all volunteers will be asked to follow our health and safety guidelines.

LOCATION:

• Evergreen is located near 365 Spadina, between College and Dundas.
