Donor Experience&nbsp;<ul><li>Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all gift processing activities, ensuring workflows are efficient, accurate, and donor-centered. </li><li>Design and refine internal and external processes to meet high service standards, including timely receipt, acknowledgements, and resolution of donor inquiries. </li><li>Monitor and evaluate the performance of third-party gift processing vendors, conducting regular reviews, and ensuring accountability. </li><li>Take the lead on implementing recommendations resulting from the ongoing Gift Processing Life Cycle Assessment, translating findings into actionable process, technology, and workflow improvements that strengthen efficiency and donor experience. </li><li>Oversee donor acknowledgements, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency through automation and technology enhancements </li><li>Lead recurring donor management, including handling failed payments, updating payment methods, and tracking donor retention. </li><li>Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate monthly and year-end reconciliation of donation revenue. </li><li>Ensure full compliance with CRA receipting standards, internal audit controls, and donor data privacy regulations. </li><li>Develop and enforce SOPs for handling exceptions such as refunds, duplicate transactions, and donor corrections. </li><li>Create a strategic roadmap for gift processing operations, evaluating in-house, outsourced, and hybrid models. </li><li>Implement quality control processes and produce monthly reports on gift volumes, error rates, and turnaround times.&nbsp;</li></ul>Raiser Edge Data Management &amp; Reporting to the Executive Director or her designate, the Awards and Administrative Support individual provides administrative support to our team and helps coordinate the planning and delivery of our Student Awards Program. This is a job where we rely heavily on Foundant's Community Suite software and great relationship skills to provide excellent support and service to our donors, charitable partners, and other committee members. Hours/ days will vary depending on needs of the program&nbsp;Start Date: ASAPSalary: $25.60 per hourReports to: Team Leader(or his/her designate)Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ol><li>Demonstrated desire to advance knowledge and skills level.</li><li>Openness and ability to establish rapport.</li><li>Ability to interact on an individual and group basis; good interpersonal skills.</li><li>Effective crisis intervention skills.</li><li>Ability to effectively asses client behaviours and intervene using a cognitive-behavioural model.</li><li>Ability to analyze clients’ behaviours in order to assess needs and risk.</li><li>Ability to function effectively as both a leader and a member of a team.</li><li>Ability to act independently, as circumstances warrant.</li><li>Sensitive to cultural and individual values.</li><li>Ability to set limits.</li><li>Ability to use and describe various approaches to deal with issues and/or clients.</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to interpret policies and procedures and act within their intent.</li><li>Working knowledge of community resources.</li><li>Moral integrity and honesty.</li><li>Maintain a counselling caseload as a primary counsellor in order to facilitate, with each client, a complete risk/needs assessment.</li><li>Within 10 working days of client’s intake complete a LSI-R assessment; complete updated LSI-R assessments in regular 3-month intervals.</li><li>Meet with clients at a frequency to be determined based on assessment of needs and consultation with the supervising parole officer, and accurately record all meetings, goals, progress and activities of each client.</li><li>Ensure case files are maintained in compliance with agency and contract standards.</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge and practice of micro skills counselling and motivational counselling techniques when liaising with peers and clients.</li><li>Accurately record all behaviours and activities, both reported and observed, of all clients.</li><li>Be knowledgeable of community services that relate to the delivery of service in the setting.</li><li>During his/her shift, will monitor and maintain all established Program procedures and policies.</li><li>Complete and share with client, staff and CSC, any applicable reports on each of the clients on his/her caseload in a timely fashion.</li><li>Liaise on an on-going basis with CSC, including discussions regarding overall progress of each of the clients.</li><li>If and when appropriate, establish rapport with the family, referral worker, outside resources and any other party who has legal involvement with the client.</li><li>Provide or take appropriate action to provide the client with special programs to meet their needs.</li><li>Under the direction of their supervisor, organize, implement and/or deliver group or individual programs that are aimed at addressing identified needs of individuals or groups.</li><li>Utilizing cognitive-behavioural techniques, assist the client in addressing the identified needs, such as problem-solving skills, assertiveness training, communication skills, values clarification, anger management and leisure skills.</li><li>Assume on-call responsibilities as appropriate.</li><li>Deliver services in a way that reflects the racial, cultural, linguistic and gender specific needs of the community being served.</li><li>Ability to understand and apply principles of Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression Framework to interactions</li><li>Actively participate in developing and implementing systems (i.e., forms, questionnaires, etc.) that will facilitate the case management process.</li><li>Remain awake, alert and attentive to client needs at all times when on shift.</li><li>Perform other duties or assignments as directed by the Director of Residential Services</li></ol>Qualifications:&nbsp;<ol><li>Community College Diploma or University Degree and/or combination of education and experience</li><li>Previous counselling experience with individuals involved in the justice system 3.&nbsp;Minimum of 2 years related employment experience in criminal justice system 4.&nbsp;Demonstrated equivalency of experience and training will be considered.</li><li>Knowledge of community resources</li><li>Intermediate-Advanced word processing skills are required.</li><li>Reliability check through Public Works</li></ol>The John Howard Society is an equal opportunity employer and a United Way anchor agency.
