Employment rates of the Gould Farm program participants went from 14% at departure to 81%, eighteen months after participation. Only 5% had a re-hospitalization and 100% were in stable housing 36 months after participation.If you haven’t heard already, Eli’s Place is now planning exciting next steps to enable opening! They have reached an agreement with representatives of the Ignatius Jesuit Centre (IJC) to lease their existing residence, just north of Guelph, to define the path forward. We currently have a Full Time opening for aSupervisor, Supports &amp; Services&nbsp;Reporting to the Director, Supports and Services, this position will be responsible for the supervision of Community Supports and Services including community participation, social roles, volunteerism, employment, youth services, and transition from school to community. &nbsp;In addition,&nbsp;responsibilities will include to leading teams to develop curriculum, training, and educational opportunities tailored to the learning needs of people with intellectual disabilities. The supervisor will be expected to coach and mentor employees using a person directed planning approach to facilitate people’s participation as contributing, active and engaged citizens in our community. In addition, duties will include employee professional development, leading teams to excellence, and overseeing department budgets.&nbsp;The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to evolve and develop innovative approaches to service provision with a community-based approach. They will be responsible for identifying gaps in services and developing creative solutions, fostering and enhancing community partnerships, leading new initiatives, facilitating presentations and measuring related outcomes.&nbsp;The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in the Human Services field and have a solid understanding of the values of the Community Living movement.&nbsp; Priority will be given to candidates with a background in creating complex plans leading to greater independence and community engagement and experience with life transitions including youth to adulthood.&nbsp;This will include a&nbsp;demonstrated understanding of the social services industry and its changing nature.
