Through a multidisciplinary team of case managers, residential support workers, and life enrichment workers, we offer a range of programming that meets the level of support needs or unique challenges of specific populations, including people living with complex mental health and/or addictions challenges, concurrent disorders, physical health comorbidities, chronic homelessness, and/or involvement in the criminal justice system. Our sites include independent cooperative living arrangements for those requiring drop-in case management support, individual and shared accommodations, and staffed congregate settings for individuals needing daily support. &nbsp; What You Will Do:Has an up to date system to receive all monthly payments from tenants. Receives and coordinates collection of rents, reconciling with receivables by reviewing tenant history and arrears reports, following up on discrepancies and processing by updating computerized payment systems/ reports and making deposits into the bank: arranging for refunds or the collection of rent arrears and preparing reminder letters,Takes leadership in liaison with LOFT’s paralegal regarding eviction forms in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act, preparing documents and represent LOFT program at Landlord Tenant Board hearings (as appropriate); preparing and distributing invoices to tenants for other charges related to in suite maintenance, following up to ensure payment; preparing and gathering rent geared to income documentation and calculations in accordance with prescribed formats. Complex eviction or tenancy issues will be consulted on with the Director.Proactive relationship building with landlords and annual review of their satisfaction with LOFT services. Primary liaison with head lease property owners or their designate in relation to tenancy and maintenance issues.. Responding in a timely manner to a variety of inquiries (email, telephone, in person) requests from tenants, landlords, contractors or the public on maintenance/ building issues, complaints and providing information, assistance, or redirecting them to a more appropriate source for resolution.
